Kick-off tonight is 8pm

Plenty of positives just needed to cut down on the unforced errors which gifted some scores and lost a bit of discipline at the end.

I couldn't understand the home speccies giving so much grief to the ref & t/j's last night to be fair, ok it was one of those frustrating type of games but for many reasons, I actually thought the ref had to work hard with the high level of errors by both teams, both teams looking nervous on the night.
We have a very, very young U23's squad and the prospects and those who will filter through from the U18's over the next couple of seasons is very promising in my opinion.

I have posted similar before, and got flak for it.
In my experience in whatever sport, professional or amateur the officials are never the worst offender on the pitch.
I would like to see some of our supporters which includes one or two of our devoted ladies concentrate more on the game and less on the officials.
I am not sure whether yesterday was the case but reffing under 23's, under 21's and lower, they are probably emerging officials, like the players they nead encouragement.

I know what you mean I got few shouts at the Ref in last night, its the inconsistency that gets you annoyed, getting it wrong is one thing but missing the same offence minutes later is not on no matter what level you are at.
Fax lost their discipline which was poor,Sheffield deserved to win, bit annoying when they are paid by the RFL to run an U23s and we have to get fans to help pay ours!

We get nothing from the RFL, they even tried to talk us out of setting up teams at youth level!

Seriously, I don't know where this myth comes from, probably because we're not from 'The Heartlands' but the authorities don't give us a penny, well not a penny more than they give anyone else anyway.

Like brummie said, it took a hell of a lot of hard work to even get them to agree to us having the five teams required for SL.

We usually get less. There were two seasons where we got nothing.

Come on you are classed as a DEVELOPMENT area so you get assistance from the RFL or are you saying that you can afford to run an U23s on your crowds and not having your own ground? You can afford that nice coach to bring your lads up on Wednesday night, (it was as good as most first team coaches).

Au contraire. We're not.

Going back to the actual game both sides have some very promising lads coming through.

On the night mom for Fax betwen 8 and 3, for Eagles 11 and 3 with Eagles 11 just taking it overall with some strong runs that caused us trouble all night and a length of the field effort after intercepting when we looked certain to score right on Eagles line in the second which finally killed us off.
It's not often you see a second rower with the strength and pace to go full length without being run down but he did.
