Still keep sending my monthly groan to Virgin Media about providing a platform for Premier Sports and actually had a phone call from them yesterday afternoon to say that they expect to announce that Premier Sports will be available in the next few weeks.

I agree with you in that Premier Sports provides some great coverage of live sporting events and it is evolving into an impressive channel, I am pleased to say that we are in fairly advanced negotiations with Premier Sports and we really hope to launch this channel in the coming months, I’m afraid I don’t have a set date at the moment but if you keep an eye on our website we will keep it updated with launch news.....

I'm pretty sure I saw a post containing an almost identical statement from Virgin a few months ago. Be good if they do strike a deal, be even better if they put the Channel in the "XL Package"

Yeah hope they make it free to XL TV customers. They did it with Setanta Sports and they now do it with ESPN so hope they do the same with Premier Sports

Free to XL customers would be a bonus, we can live in hope

With the season now so close we're continuing our push for people to sign up for Premier Sports, but so far many comments have been made about the package not available on Virgin Media. So we're starting a campaign to get added to the media platform, and you can help by posting on their social media and sending them emails. Help out today, whether you use Virgin or not.



Key points:

Rugby League fans have missed out on the NRL for the last 2 year and now with Premier Sports picking up the Championship Rugby League coverage they won’t be able to view 32 live Rugby League games from England not to mention all the NRL.

As a Rugby League fan, if Premier don’t get onto Virgin I am go to move everything to Sky.

They've been putting the same statement out with the same wording for around a year or so now, I'm not holding my breath

Its going to get added on the 9th March. And it will be free.

Did they say definitely premier sports? as the only thing i can see virgin starting on the 9th March is Sky Sports F1

If it was a customer service person you spoke to I wouldn't believe a word they said. I can't see why Virgin Media would be advertising Sky Sports F1 Channel launches march 9th and not Premier Sports

They'll probably launch a few channels that day. Some will be more flagshippy for Virgin than others.

I asked on Twitter again the other day and was told there was still no news on Premier Sports but when they get some they'd pass it on
