According to today's Courier we will have 5 consecutive away games this coming season.
Apparently there is to be work on the Shay pitch.
Fixtures will be released on Monday.

Does anyone know why the pitch needs to be done?

The FCHT fans are always complaining that the drainage needs sorting out (more important than the North Stand apparently) so maybe that's it.

I guess one of their players must have sat in a puddle and his mum complained.

The sceptic in me says we'll get drawn away from home in the NRC quarters.....

Four thurs night games in the first twelve fixtures !

I was talking about this earlier with my mate who works for the council and he said they are looking to start work on the north stand and relay the pitch due to drainage problems

We always seem to have a run without any home games while they do the pitch, think this year is the first year in a while they aint ripped it all up and grown it all from seed again

Could be worse, remember when it looked like it'd actually been ploughed after the snow?

justt stick a road tar burner on it and dry the pitch out. Worked at thawing the Thrum Hall pitch when frozen-just had no grass for a few months after!

Haven't read article but is the 5 weeks including the away match with 4th in France in Europa Cup? So only 3 league games & possible TTE Cup Quarter Final if we qualify maybe.

But three of them are at home. Does this indicate TV coverage?
