Surely it is time it came back to this side of the Pennines. I might be getting a bit overexcited by our signings but maybe somewhere close to Fax and Fev perhaps. Cas or Wakey maybe - whoops, sorry I forgot their grounds are not fit to graze cattle on. I expect they'll both have new stadia by next Oct so still a possibility.
Seriously I have never enjoyed my trips to the HJ even when winning. They ran out of hotdogs and beer last year and the year before (didn't go this time) and the pubs don't serve proper ale.
Time for a change of venue?

...Keepmoat?

...Headingley?

If it was in a more appealing town then more neutrals might go for the day out. I've been to Wembley/London, I've been to Old Trafford/Manchester all as a neutral but I'd never never dream of going to Warrington as a neutral. As someone above says - even Blackpool would be better.

Blackpool should host the GF and become the Chamionships stadium for all main events..... could even host both NRC semis there on the same day.

I was thinking that too why the HJ every year its a decent stadium but its time for a change, spice it up a bit have it on this side of the Pennines like you said.
How much better for us if we get there next year or clubs from Yorkshire if it was at Headingley, Keepmoat or even the Galpharm?
Blackpool for the NRC Final but not both.
How about alternating it between the North West and Yorkshire?
There is the new St Helens or Salford stadiums - St Helens is not that much further than Warrington for us.

Warrington is okay but like you say not that appealing for a neutral.

I didn't rate the HJ, this year was my first visit. Looks like a stadium done on the cheap and the hot dogs were £3.80, with the nutritional value (and taste) of a clump of soil.

Wakey's new ground would be interesting, if/when it happens. Cas will never get their fantasy supermarket off the ground, so will be stuck in their chemical infested swamp for sometime, we'll be seeing them in the championship come 2015

Not sure about the Keepmoat / Galpharm as they a soccer grounds primarlily, surely it's better to keep the money in the RL family, if a suitable stadium is available.

I personally think the SL, Championship and Championship 1 finals should all be taken to Wembley and played on the same day with the SL GF the main event.

Blackpool is a scab hole..RL is supposed to be a family game but blackpool is the seediest un-family friendly place.

Nah, the beer in that London is worse than in Lancashire. Top weekend though now 2 Loos is off the menu.

Also a triple final in London or wherever won't happen while the current RFL board are in place as they won't acknowledge that there is a game below their beloved Soopaleeg.

A final in London would be a logistical nightmare, trying to arrange travel ect with only a weeks notice in some cases

What he said about Blackpool. I can see how me and some mates might have a good time on GF or NRC weekend, but I wouldn't ever consider taking the kids again.

Can't believe anyone is seriously suggesting Headingley - can you imagine how poor the atmosphere would be with 7,000 spread about the place? Yorkshire will get the final once it builds itself some decent 12-16,000 capacity stadiums (and don't say Donny because the atmosphere is bobbins there even with 13,000 on).

I have racked my brains and there are no other grounds suitable besides Warrington or maybe Blackpool as they have the right capacity, more or less on the M62 corridor and are near to the town centre. Headingley is still 3/4 antiquated. Salfords new ground is in a rough area, Saints and Wigan grounds too big, Widnes ground is in the middle of an industrial park, Galpharm too big, Leigh and Donny would be good venues but its a no-go as they could contest the finals.

Shame York can't sort themselves (ourselves?) out with a 10,000 stadium. 6 teams playing there one weekend would be emotional.

I believe it shoud be played at either Castleford or Wakefields NEW grounds as they will be ready NEXT year or so they say !...........
