Just listened to his inerview on Sky Sports and he said he's struggling to see method in the rfl's madness and thta Wakefield have broke the rules by promising there would be in a new stadium for this set of licences.

Widnes were failed for being insolvent in 2007; in the 2008 round of licenses.

Wakefield head into the 2011 season insolvent yet were awarded a license.

Its alright just coming out withit and taking it though, something must be done, Cas and Wakey dont have grounds that were promised 3 years ago let alone today.

Just to put things into perspective now. No SL license, Not even a grade C which means our bid must have been rubbish for Wakey and Cas to be above us, No tick for this year ( so far ), No Coach and no idea about Noble.

It's time for the club to man up, put it's head above the parapet and take the RFL to task. They can not let this go otherwise the lower leagues will just be disseminated. It's not just Halifax fans who can't believe this, it's the fans of every Championship Club. Unless this is put right the Championship is dead. Wakefield have received a licence by breaking the rules but are allowed to do this because the RFL have no b@lls.

Leave Cas out of it. The RFL have made clear that the economic climate has made it extremely difficult to build new stadia and accept that Castleford have made "significant progress" towards the Glasshoughton Stadium, having detailed planning permission to begin building (when we sell WR). Regardless of stadium, Cas will have picked up more points in the system than Fax, having a secure financial management history, a good contribution to the competition, excellent youth development structures and extensive work in the community.
Please don't compare our application with Wakefield's, or yours.

Nothing at all against Wakefield but keeping them in after administration and their ground sitution can mean only one thing that their new owner has bribed his way in with a promise of a cash guarantee.
We are in the 17th year of Super League and some clubs have done nothing with their grounds etc.

Of all the decisions to make this is beyond belief, just break any rule you like and it will be okay.

It's Ok Wakefield saying Belle Vue will be upgraded by next year, it's still not going to bring it up to SL standard.

Gone up in my estimation has Michael Steele. Bout time he grew a pair and gave it to the RFL. The club cant take this lying down, if Wakey had come down i think they could have accepted it but with Wakey staying in they have to take action.

Can you not see we are seething from a corrupt RFL which has made me give up on it, stuck with it for the last 3 years but no more i'm affraid. If The club tried to take action then great, i will stay a fax faithfull and shell out my money, if we lye down and take it then i aint parting with Hard earned money.

too true, the only way that i believe that the club can now stop fans slowly drifting away from the shay is by the club standing up for themselves.

As per usual the RFL move in a murky world of clandestine meetings to make decisions without having to provide any justification for them. All the time with the threat hanging in the air that it is their competition and they can do what they want (even throwing out members that don't tow the party line.)

Steele will be asked to attend a meeting to discuss this and may also be able to point out several Nigel Wood sized wholes in the RFL's argument but at the end of the day Lewis and Wood will not change their mind and Steele will be sworn to some daft confidentiality agreement at the risk of punishment for his club.

Resign Lewis and Wood and let's have men with integrity take their place... Proper RL people who understand the fans of this sport and will act with in the best interest of the sport rather than their own ego's.

I can only repeat what I said in another posting that Michael prior to that meeting needs to check whether legal grounds exist for an appeal. Because it is such a bizarre decision you would accept a challenge could be made. It just depends whether the club has the stomach for a serious fight...........
