If the players cry off and lose this one just because Calland's left they should all get fined.
They're pro rugby players and should get on with it. It's York at Home for christ sake there is literally no excuse to lose. You don't forget how to play rugby or how to set up in defence and attack because someone left 48 hours earlier.

I agree Tommy but even before what Happened I thought this was going to be a difficult match.

i think this is now a chance for fax to start fresh, we dont know whats going to happen on tuesday and we dont know who's goin to take over from Calland on a permanent basis but we still have to concentrate on the playoffs and i really cant see us losing to York but it is Halifax and rugby league so who knows....UP THE FAX.

Might work the other way in a "Lets do it for Matt" and if they do throw the towel in I might have to withdraw my promise of sponsership, anyway Neil it was a nice walk and you needed the exercise.

Surely though the players must know more what is going on - I cannot believe they were told - Right boys, the boss as just left so there is no training tonight - but we have a big game on Sunday so make sure you all turn up ..... surely senior players will have wanted to know what the thinking behind it was.

I believe that the players know what hard work the backroom staff undertake, I believe they know how much a win means to us.

Tomorrow they will win a game that was always going to be difficult, I don't think they would want anything less.

Apart from when we play Leigh, we're a 2nd half team.
Team spirit, fitness levels, determination to eek out a win, are all traits our boys have shown over recent seasons that will come to the fore today. Losing a cup final in the last outing & losing the coach who they all loved playing for will be the buzz words on all the lads' minds in the build up to & during this fixture.
York will come at us for the first part of each half of the game with big energy, they're not a bad side with some decent players, but Halifax have some top quality match winners, dry-ish firm track will suit our style of running rubgy league.

It was bloody hard work in that heat and remember we are raising money for the under 23s
