To all supporters,

As in last years Grand Final coach tickets must be purchased prior to the day. See official club website for further details.

Coaches will depart from The Shay Stadium at 9.30am, with the last coach leaving at 10.00am. Coach boarding will be based on a queue system, once a coach is filled they depart.

Queue entry is via the East Stand Concourse, and the queue will run along the pitch side of the East Stand, with boarding next to the North Terrace. The coach departure details from The Shay Stadium are the same as in the 2010 Grand Final.

Coaches will then travel direct to Blackpool with expected arrival time before 12pm, to give people chance to spend some time in Blackpool soaking up the atmosphere in the lead up to kick-off at 5pm.

Coaches will return from Blackpool 15 mins after the trophy presentation (hopefully with the Northern Rail Cup).

I had heard they were making enquiries about trains, Seems now they are not, which i find disapointing.
Blackpool by train would be far preferable, especially since Neils coaches invariably don't have toilets and Blackpool to Halifax is a well used line, this is similar to the Odsal coaches they were gonna put on, and maybe needs thought? Peoples own choice i suppose..

Considering it's the Northern RAIL cup, what would be so difficult in the sponsors giving it the big push with regards to travel to & from the final ?

For goodness sake, how complicated it must be to order a special train, how many carriages does Neil book to start with. There is a train from Halifax every hour at 07 past the hour starting at 09.07 it takes approx 1hr 30 mins. There are two trains back after the game. I would have thought that Northern Rail are missing a trick here, Could have organised just one train from Halifax to Blackpool and Leigh to Blackpool, Wouldn't be expensive, would be great advertising and no doubt would be packed to the rafter with likeminded fans wanting fun, Ticket only and direct route.

Northern Rail have organised 'special' trains in the past as they ran one in 2006 from Bolton to Blackpool when we were there against Hull KR, and again in 2008 from Eccles to Blackpool when Salford were there. Not sure if they've scrapped it in recent years though.

The Space Shuttle is being decommissioned, so thats out, and it only lands at certain air strips anyway due to the length of runway required, I dont think its replacement is due online for sometime yet either, I will contact ESA though and see if any Arianne Rockets are available, im not sure if they have the capacity for even a NRC qualifier though, and we probably have to catch a flight or train enroute to its launch pad, so that leaves us with, Coach, Car, Walking, Cycling, Hovercraft or Hot Air Balloon.

I"m flying to Blackpool from Barton Aerodrome. I have space on one wing left if anyone's interested. You have to provide your own safety harness and sign a disclaimer.

My husband might just take you up on that as he was going to go on his Sedgeway but thought the battery would run down around Chorley and I don`t think anyone has a plug there.

Northern Rail Cup - Gotta have some trains on.

I'm working nights and don't really feel like getting to Blackers at 12o'clock so would be nice to have had at least one later coach.

Following on from the initial anouncement of coach travel, providing their is sufficient interest in a later coach to get you just to the game which kicks off at 5.00 pm we will try and arrange a coach to leave in order to get you to Blackpool an hour before kick off. Look out for full details on the web site. We are still looking at train travel and an anouncement will be made asap.

How much is it on your coaches, reason Im asking as its, £8 L.I.S.A members on ours £10 non members, I run the away coaches, I think we have a good deal.
