Says in the courier that both these 2 are out and the verdict is still out on Gil, Same team as against the Hawks then it looks like. I was really hoping for Penky to be playing, Best impact player we have IMO.

Never mind we will still go there and do the best we can i have no doubt about that.

Penky. Hmmmm. Mixed feelings. Undoubtably a good player, and I wouldn't mind him in our team. BUT, he's been a penalty machine in games v us.
Remember the game 2 seasons ago at the shay - the one which we came back to win late on after penky was penalised 2 mins from time?
Then this season, penalised again for daft offences - chucking the ball away was one wasn't it?? was that him, and is it only in Fev games??
Take that element of his game away he'd be the best in his position in our league.

the coaches knew Penky would be out for this game. Penky mentioned last Thursday he didn't have his pot off till this friday coming. I'm sure they will have prepared properly and come up with other game plans knowing Penky was out

It was Penky who pulled the ball out and Rocket Ronnie got him for it.
Every Fax fan including myself will swear blind that Fev just threw it away though.


On reflection Penky has won us more games than he has lost and can be deadly close to the line or when the opposition starts to tire.
Quite a number of teams including S L have played with 2 hookers with contrasting styles to mix up the play to good effect.
If you watch how we have played without him, Rob Worro, White and Greenwood in particular have come into dummy half to gain good yards by running straight for the frist 2 or 3 plays then Beswick will come in as pivot to bring the forwards on against a retreating defense.
Then the half back have taken over in the opposition half.
The backs are in effect doing a lot of the work that a running dummy half like Penky would do, how successful this is depends on the speed of the play the ball, if it is slowed down then we may struggle but quick we may get some points on the board.
I am really looking forward to see if the Fax defense has improved, I noticed against Hunslet that the first 3 tackles were good but the 4 and 5 th droppped of a bit.
If that happens against Fev then Kainy will have a field day both in broken play and on the back of the Fev forwards.

I wouldnt be surprised if this wasn't gamesmanship from Nobby.
Should be a cracking game, if our defence is like it was at Leigh it should be a classic tight cup game.

Penky is quality, but he does on aoccasion have a couple of brainfarts,

plus during the last 3 wins we have had Beswick there and he has had 1 out of every 6 plays because we've been using Greenwood,White and Worrincy to make good yards.

i want Penky back as soon as possible, but without him we can still use the same tactic we have been using during the last 3 wins

Defence and Fevs ground don't seem to go hand in hand, always seems to be high scoring no matter what. Play like you did against us and you have a beltin chance, play like you haver most of the season and it could be a long night.

Good luck -much rather see you in the final (Sunday permitting of course). Certainly seems to be a bit of a stigma with the Fev fans at the mo.

Dudson is also out due to injury and Crusaders were going to loan him for a month so we could play him. God Damn it, Light pack again then, Gannon, Aizue, Cherryholme and !0 Minute Frank.

Don't know if Gareth Hewer will benefit us or them tonight. Hes not a whistle happy ref & may allow Fev to "niggle"

Hope the best team wins , cant wait to watch tonight and see who will be at the Promised land , hope its Fax ,but cant see it ,FEV for Charlie ,and CHARLIE KNOWS
