Personally I would love this to come off and for Noble to help build us back up and up to SL standard.

It would certainly be a "half way house", by keeping Calland, for the time being with Noble instilling some sort of professionalism into the coaching set up (starting with the defence).

Indeed I can see Calland and Noble working very well together - MC learned a lot of Hall but sadly Hall isn't around. Noble is also great PR.

It would also get the posters saying that he is here, in an advisory capacity, but to take over as full coach when we get the nod for superleague, come July...

As long as we don't end up with a Dave Clark / Barrow merry go round.

I cant see it but I would be thrilled if it were to happen. Would look great for our SL application.

This has got to be the best news ever and I think the BOD have to be congratulated on this one in biteing the bullet and in my opinion they could not have picked anyone better at this particular moment.
It may help the ticket sales for the Bradford game as people will buy them instead of watching on the box and what was even more worrying were the people who had bought tickets who said they would not come after Sun game.
At the end of the day the most important thing is the survival of our club and all the hard work that the BOD , staff and committed fans have done over the last few years could have been wiped out if things had continued.
They are keeping Calland which means they do not have to pay him off and he will get a job anywhere in the Championship when his contract finishes this year as he will have Brian Noble on his CV as well.
It will probably mean a big commitment financialy for the Club so lets use the Bradford game to help out with the bucket collection or put a little extra in , lets collect as much as we can to get the Under 23s paid for ahead of schedule so we can take a bit of the load from the BOD .

You have got to believe that MC has played a roll in this because he must know how it is going to look to everyone so fair play to him. Hes not the best with the press and our defence has been a shambles but we have played some of the best attacking rugby that i have seen so for me this cant come soon enough. Someone who can help him out with some of the things he has struggled with, someone who can work the press, and also someone who can attract players, good move by the club.

get in there fax, Thankyou BOD for listening to the fans who were expressing there dissatisfaction with this years season so far. Brian will be a fantastic addition to the team and if Matt Calland did have anything to do with this maaster stroke then i have to take my hat off to him, it must have been difficult if indeed it was to do with him, swallowing his pride for the good of the club.

Hopefully the players will not start to show some pride and passion, Lets hope Brian & Matt together can inspire this team to some silverware this season, its not too late and we could now start by turning featherstone over after the bulls !!.

Absolutely delighted with this and as much as it was rumoured never for one moment expected it to come off.
