Does anyone know if season ticket holders can attend these matches for free like we used to be able to for reserve games?

first league game is this saturday at the shay v Whitehaven at 2.30pm

Seems daft day and time considering thats when all local amateur sides are in action

Yeah heard the other day that it wasn't the clubs choice, will be OK once amateur season is over come May but in March its plain stupid to play these games on a Sat.

Mike posted quite a while ago that Saturdays were not the choice of any of the clubs. The fixture list date had been imposed on them.
Thats why the fixture list was delayed as most clubs wanted to try and change the day to Thursday.
Earlier in this post Mike said the fixture lists would be confirmed today.

Well it's a game at home this weekend so maybe we can get a decent crowd down.

A couple of issues though.
First game is scheduled for this Saturday. Most of our home games wont be on a Saturday for the obvious reasons that fans have identified above, but because It's Whitehaven and a long journey we try to accomodate them on a Saturday, and they do the same for us (yes I know they dont for First team!!!)

Secondly The game may yet have to nbe played somewhere other than Shay. .we are meeting the Council tomorrow evening but currently its a replay of last weekend, the pitch needs a rest apparantly! If its not the Shay its likely to be Old Crossleyans but we want the Shay
