| Be nice to see Holly go there, Been a good place for Eaton to learn the coaching trade and he's moved up to be a SL assistant now, and the game is crying out for British Coaches as opposed to Aussie imports

| The whole article is summed up in this paragraph
Quote However, The Press understands the club’s hierarchy have always been aware of Demetriou’s desire to get into coaching, as well as his links with the Keighley role, and would not stand in his way if a decent offer was forthcoming. '"
JD has obviously requested a release clause, though doubt anyone thought it'd come this quick.
However, there seems to be a lot of people linked with the Job, Stanley Gene, Graham Holroyd, Gary Thornton, Martin Crompton, Brad Drew, Dave Clark and now Jason Demitriou are all names i've seen linked to it, as well as Matt Bramald who is already involved in the Cougars set up.

| I have heard that Holly is still keen to be wearing blue and white next year and that was from someone who is connected with the club.

I would agree , Thornton in particular did a good job wne he was at Batley and Crompton did much to revive Blackpool at the time.

Aye, that's the official statement they've made. Apparently, because he'd already mentioned an interest in the Keighley job, JD had it written into his contract he could leave if it was offered to him. Plus, surely it's like a normal transfer even without that. Keighley would have had to give York money to 'buy' JD off them, then he gets announced as Keighley boss.
What's happened here seems to be that he's been released fairly, Keighley have him, now York are going to discuss how much money Keighley will give them...
Quote we are now waiting to hear from Keighley regarding a compensation deal'"
Keighley will probably just give them an out of service phone number and get York to ring it

Agreed it is like normal transfer, but £10K????
Was he really worth that much to York? And when was the last time you heard of any transfer fee being involved at our level??

My main point being, this doesn't seem to be like a normal transfer. I.e Talks > Money > player sold > player arrives. The order of this all seems wrong.
Either way as you say, at least £10k. No way Jose.
