I think most people were aware that Branigan was leaving and i was under the impression that Holroyd was also heading for the exit door. Although i was told on saturday that Holroyd wants to stay on for another season but once again is asking for too much money. Thought he might have learned from the last time!!!

If there is any truth in this I cant blame him for wanting a good deal, but he has to be realistic as well. A deal could include some element of coaching.

Everyone assumed he has retired but he is reconsidering. He did this last time he left and held out for more cash. I agree there may be some coaching involved.

Quality player, if we can pass on some of his skills to the younger lads, we are onto a winner; unfortunately, I believe the coaches wages are included in the salary cap, so we cant even "tweak" the playing side of his contract as a work around.

i have also heard that Holroyd is finding it hard to walk away from the club this from a current member of the playing staff.

Never thought I would say this but I would like to see Holly stay on for another season.

Would be good cover for Black and Jones, and passing on some of his vast experience to the U23's

I feel that the signing of Holly last season, along with Sam Barlow, helped turn our season around.

Since Holroyd joined last year, he brought a calmness and leadership and had them playing with there heads up. I think it would have been very different last year without him.

If he does sign it will at least show the rfl that your blooding some yoof.............
