| Does anyone have access to a full list of Dual Reg players used at each club this season as I feel that we should be keeping a close watch on the team lists during the playoffs to make sure that all players used qualify under the 75% ruling. Once bitten, so to speak.

| leigh would have been playing most of theirs if clubs had not recalled them tonight.
would not have thought they all had played in 75% of league games.

I think Blythe qualified in his own right, but apparently we've got dispensation for Emmitt, Mitchell and McCarthy as they didn't miss any of our games when not selected by their own club, or summat along those lines.

Something to do with injuries so it's 75% you are 'fit' for! Interesting Ben Davies can't play for Widnes yet actually featured more than Mitchell & McCarthy! I understand having to play X amount but Widnes have missed out as the lad did so well got a few Wigan run outs
Think Blackword for Barrow can play as he made 75% though only joined later in season too!

Exactly. I wonder if the RFL will ever come up with a rule that is unambiguous, not open to interepretation and black and white rather than every shade in the spectrum. They really are the most incompetent group of halfwits on the face of the planet.

| I posted this on the Fev forum (the other one) a while back and thinking about the play-offs and the advantage one club could gain over another in what effectively is a cup competition my opinion hasn't changed.
So where are we with Duel Regestration players?
SL Clubs - Works for them, they can send out the younger players to get experience playing at a decent standard.
Player - On a positive side they are more likely to get game time at a decent level and are challenged to learn different playing patterns and to switch between the two at short notice. On the down side they don't have any stability from one week to the next because they could be recalled at any time.
Championship clubs - Benefit from getting some decent talent to boulster their squads and could help clubs pick up points in the championship they might otherwise not get but the downside is the players can be pulled perhaps after the training session at the beginning of the week then they have to change their planning by bringing in a different player to fill that position
Championship players - No real benefit, perhaps players of a similar age can pick up new tips on fitness and diet but having players coming in and upsetting the balance of the squad, players having to step down one week to make way for the duel reg then drafted back in at short notice can't do much for morale.
Champioship Competition - No benefit whatsoever, actually ruins the competition in a way because some clubs are relying on these players and are probably in a false position in the league as a result.
My opinion is that it should be scrapped, it doesn't enhance the Championship and despite what the RFL might want we are not in existance to support the SL by giving their players match experience.Perhaps if they restricted their imports then these players could get the chance to play in SL more often.

| Who pays the players wages while dual registered? The only advantage I could see over the loan system is that it might be cheaper if the fees are less to the loanee club but the risk is higher as the player can be pulled at short notice. But I don't know if that's even the case.

Agree completley , It should be season loans or nothing , the other problem though is running any team without a ' support ' team under it , can also create problems
