After the rucas with the brawl, I counted only 11 men in blue and white, so by my maths, that's two sent off...

Barlow Was sent off for running in to help nash, if you watch the Video im sure he is sent off for smacking a fax player to boot. He was the first one in not involved in the initial bust up and hit a man who was not looking in his direction, but to be fair you dont look to see if your own players are smacking you.

On hols, so watched the game on Sky. Sam defo red-carded. He, like many others, ran in to join the fracas, but his fists were a tad more accurate than everyone else. Hope he gets no/minimal ban, but for some reason the RFL don't like a good old-fashioned punch-up...

I'm sure the ref only yellow carded Barlow, reckon Widnes number 10 and Maloney were lucky to stay on the pitch, had missed Sam's involvement in the whole thing from my angle. My little lad was well chuffed though, said he wants to come all the time now, amazing what a bit of biff does.

Watched it on sky and a red card was defo brandished !!! Thing the guy sent off chucked a haymaker at the bald headed tough guy that plays for widnes when it was calming down hence re-igniting the fight (cant remember his name) Good old fashioned punch ups, we see them most weeks watching blackpool panthers. Seem to be more punishment in Super league and championship than our league.

When he left the field i thought he went straight down the tunnel. They did not show him getting the red card on sky, they just put up the graphic as he left the field.

in fairness sky showed it as a sending off and on the replays he did run in throwin a punch whilst flyin through the air lol, but gaskells challenge was on nash' head so fair play to barlow

just re-watched it, and it looks like although gaskells tackle looks high, there is a swinging right arm from kavanagh that seems to upset nash.

He went in swinging and missed the widnes player and smacked Nash instead.

I noticed Barlow was shaking hands at the end of the game. If he was sent off wouldn't he have been banished to the dressing rooms?

No, it was a sending off. As someone who was at the match, I didn't see the ref give a yellow, he didn't give a card. For sending offs, it's common to give no card, and tell them they've been sent off.

If he was red carded it's a terrible call.
Barlow was one of the best players on the park tonight regardless of the scrap, it's about time Gannon retired. Howard Hill put the sickener on him the other week up at 'Haven at the first scrum, it appears he's lost his edge.

I hope for your sake that your players don't get banned.

I remember a Leigh / Widnes game 4 years ago which saw 4 Leigh players receive 5,4,4 and 2 match bans respectively for a similar punch up. No one was sent off then !

Didn't watch the game, but everyone I spoke too said the fax player (Number 27 ?) was sent off.

Wasn't that some overspill from a nightclub incident that had previously occurred between a couple of the protagonists ?
