Yet again, unable to make a 'Fax away game on sunday afternoon because of other commitments and in need of my RL fix, I'm going over to the "mount" to cheer on the Batley Bulldogs against the Catalonians.

I'd really like to feel that the romance of the challenge cup is still alive in this day and age and would much prefer to see Batley in the semi finals than those French Aussies, so I'm gonna be a Dog for the day

Great turnout tonight in support of the Doggies, it had a great feel about the old place I reet enjoyed it & bumped into loads of old pals. Me & the old fella called in at David Ward's pub on the way home and were in the company of the two PNG lads who play at Hunslet (blooming nice blokes ) Wardy himself, Jimmy Irvine & Dave Heron and their Wayne, top, top, night out.

Despite the scoreline, Batley gave their all and didn't deserve such a caning from both the ref & the scoreboard.

TBF, Matt, at the time of posting I hadn't seen you Leythers and the the clubs I missed out. Nice to see you again after a while, btw.

As you said at the game; Smith refereed it to the way they play in SL and at times seemed very harsh in some of his decisions against Batley.
