The RFL needs a shake up (the most used sentence ever i know).

What a load utter garbage, all spin and no substance as usual the RFL let people walk all over them to 'save face' like a bunch of politicians, in fact worse as they have to answer to nobody else but themselves as the clubs run scared with the threat of franchises hanging over them, its a dictatorship!

How about this line from the article 'The Super League club will have access to players from new Championship One outfit South Wales, which will act as a feeder club but also have Super League aspirations of their own.'

So lets see, a club that has failed in South Wales which Celtic Crusaders have otherwise why move??? - goes north to be a another potential failure in my eyes, give them 2 years max and are replaced by yet another club in where??? er South Wales a great place for expanding RL

i totally agree with you and i wonder if this is a reason why fans don't come to games, it's not a level playing field so people must think, like i am, why bother. If the're starting up again somewhere else then surely they should be classed as a "new" team and start life in Championship 1.

Totally agree. Footie fans complain about how the FA is run, but good god, Id go as far & say even local councils are run better than the e in charge of our game! How the hell can the media bloke stand up in Wrexham yesterday & be able to justify a club closing & starting up again within 30miles of a proposed SL club. Utter sheeeet!!!

There needs to be a drastic change at the top. Is there ANYBODY at the RFL who has an ounce of decency, intelligence or honesty?...... Answers on the back of a postage stamp.

We need a clean sweep of the whole corrupt lot of them, but who could take over without a massive disruption to the shambles that we have already?

Something RL could do with is a national supporters´organisation. Football has the Football Supporters Federation but is there is a similar organisation for rugby supporters?

The FSF offers a greater deal of representation and ensures there is a respected organisation actually questioning the motives and actions of those in charge. Yet the RFL just seem to make ridiculous decisions time and time again with nobody really questioning them except individual supporters.

So if we start a National Supporters Organisation, the acronym FSF has already been taken. We could have the FFS, now, who has any idea what it could stand for?

Yet again it just appears that the RFL just make things up as they go along. To have a fully fledged super league club with development status is bizarre in the extreme. To rub salt into the wound they are now based in Wrexham despite the licence being granted to allow the game to grow in South Wales. You just know that this exercise is bound to fail. However my main gripe is not against Nigel and his co directors but remember they do not operate in isolation in the RFL. Nigel does not run the thing to his own agenda he carrys out the policy as agreed by the super league clubs. It is my understanding that all super league clubs have a vote and they must have agreed to support the Crusaders. Any thoughts of hostility towards the RFL should be redirected towards the SL clubs who support these measures and SKY who bankrole the Super League. One option would be to make Super League larger with say six more teams but will never happen because existing clubs will not sign up to reduced cash. They would equally be against sharing revenues with Championship sides. Sorry guys it just seems that good traditional clubs with good supporters are getting shafted and all we are offered one opportunity for admisssion to the top table. It doesn't matter how much history we bring, how much support, the quality of the ground etc you just know that if this one place would be removed at an instant if a new club from Ireland, Scotland, France, or indeed any UK region with no existing rugby league representation wanted in.

They've just been dicussing the whole farce on TalkSport. The sumise was 'why does rugby league keep undermining itself with the RFL ignoring the hot bed of the sport and shoving it in places where there's no interest'. Quite.

I've said it so many times now, Wood and Lewis are pathetic. In any other job they would have had garden leave a long time ago. Those two are answerable to nobody and its a joke, a complete joke.

They are like senior politicians or dare i say it senior managers in the UK at most large organisations, its the old 'the king is in the altogether' syndrome, meaning we all know the truth but nobody dare say it because they will get punished.

If that continues to be the case, these hard workers will walk away from the clubs. Semi-Pro Rugby League below SL level will disappear. Less players, less people watching the game. Terrific leap forward no?
