Just wondering if there are any games in the pre season, obviously the Giants match, any more?

Once again, the pre-season fixtures will be released by the club when they have been arranged.

Please try looking around before you post. You will find five other threads on the same topic.

I can't find any. I can see some on next years' league fixtures but none on pre-season friendlies. If you would be so kind as to put the 5 links to the other threads on here so the Mr Magoo's of this world can have a read i'd much appreciate it.

Good gives the lads a break at Christmas, they are so early into their training schedule its a pointless game anyway, the money side apart but I don't think fans get value for money anyway so lets bin them and start in the New Year I say.

Here Here ! I totally agree, i know the players arnt up to speed fitness wise at christmas so why play meaninless games and risk injury. The games are usually poor anyway.

Earlier start to the season this year though - as far as I am aware, the 1st game proper is the end of January. Doesn't gave that much preperation time from New Year to the end of January.

As you say a lot of it is down to money - don't championship club still get one game against SL opposition and get to keep all of the gate receipts? If we can pull in say 4,000 or so against Wire on Boxing Day it might equate to £32,000 on a average price or £8 a ticket. Not exactly a huge amount but still probably the biggest money earner we'll get all season.

Fair point, why the early season kick off this year or have I missed something?

Won't make much difference, if we cannot beat them in wet and cold England in November we have no chnace down under.
