Well said... IMO the most important factor of ticking the box has been acheived anything else is a bonus so lets go enjoy it.

Completely agree - preassure is now off us. We have ticked the SL box and can go back to playing with a smile on our faces and thats when we are at our most dangerous.

All the pressure on Des Jonstones Barrow. Infact im suprised he hasnt changed the team name to "Des's Jonstones Barrow Raiders".

Winning will be the cherry on the top for me.

I think there is the same amount of pressure on both teams / coaches as we really both want the cudos of being the championship champions (mouth full).

I just hope its a great game and both teams turn up and play to their best, then we will see who comes out on top.

Totally agree, Eadie. I know the day will have been a great one if I wake up ho with a thick head on the Monday. Whatever the result, we really need to give the lads the mother of noisiest backings on Sunday, and let's be one big happy family, eh?

The only tears Faxs fans will be shedding will be due to joy!! Can't wait to see Des berrating the side "he" has put together for failing at the last hurdle. Only pressure fax had this year was ticking the box for SL. now that's done we can play stress free football and we all know how dangerous Fax are when they are playing like that.

The league leader shield (accepted by your Chairman / coach / administrator / kit washer / team selector etc) Des Johnstone will mean absolutely diddly squat if we take the spoils on Sunday.......

I must say the pressure is not on us - the lads are up for it without a doubt and I am going to enjoy it regardless. We are part of the Fax Courgar Army!

I think with Des Johnson being such a control freak and his huge investment into the club there will be more pressure on Barrow as they lost the NRC Final so I cannot see him being too happy if they lose the GF as well plus does he have a bet on them to win it too???

We got the one thing we wanted the SL tick so pressure is off us now, to win on Sunday will be a bonus, obviously I hope Fax do win it!

Its not such and achievement when you realise we beat you 3 times already and we all knew at the start of the season that finishing top didnt win you the Grand Final, thats like us saying we won the Thomas the Tank Engine League, because we beat you and finished above both of you and Widnes in the league.

Show some humilty and respect please, these things have a habit of backfiring, all it will only take one man for your dreams to crumble, your success is built on even more fragile foundations than ours, and your stadium is rotting under seagull excrement, and rusting from the sea breeze, if Des decides to take his pot'o'gold away, as previous money men have with us, you will understand the humility aspect to which i refer.
Things may look quite different in a relatively short space of time, enjoy now, but be respectful.

i disagree with the cannot lose sentiment imo if we want any chance of super league we need to dominate the game outside sl. and that starts on sunday by beatin barra!

Keep churning out all the cr@p about Des J. Absolutely no pressure on us at all. It's coach Clarke's last game in charge (so no pressure on him at all), we already have silverware and will have appeared in 2 finals this year. The NR Cup final will also stand us in good stead in that we know what a final is all about.

At that particular time, Mr Calland was exactly correct in his comment. We were, but he was a little naive in saying this. All that I can say is that with loosing 6 in a row, its a good job he didnt work for Sir Des of Cumbria, because he would have been hung, drawn and quartered and his head put on a post in the town centre as a example to those who defy the great lord Johnstone.....

Hmmm be respectful eh. To who? You or my clubs Chairman? I agree that Fax beat Barrow 3 times this season, but so what, we won the league because your team blew it.... Yourself as a fan would have some bragging rights for winning, wouldn't you?? As for Craven Park, yes it is an old dated stadium, but wants again its owned by the club! and not some council. If you did know anything about Barrow Rl and its mentioned on previous posts that there's plans for it to be redeveloped and as for enjoying our time as a fan while Sir Desmondo of Cumbria being a Chairman. I will!!! Because Barrow RL has never gone totally bust in its history with or without a rich Chairman. So please be respectful yourself as last time the two teams met Barrow played Fax off the park!
