been saying it for the last 3 months, stick penky at 9, govin at 6 and gleese on the bench. Blacky plays 1st reciever which he has to be to make an impact creating the space for govin who has the better hands. Looks like the penny has finally dropped with calland, if hed of stuck with penky at 6 we wud of got beat thursday. Apart from the 2 knock ons worrincy showed wat he is capable of and to me will be another miles greenwood, had a very average 1st season but was outstanding up until his injury, the lads only young and will only get better, i hope we keep him.

Aways liked Gov at stand off, impressive with his show and go. Sometimes shows the ball two to three times to keep the opposition guessing which puts doubt into them and therefore creates the gaps. Made quite a few breaks on Thur and it was only bad fortune and bad handling that cost us probably a further 3 tries. Hope Mick gets another year if fit TBH.

i'd give mick a contract, he has a great ability to open a defence up by like u say showing the defence his hand two or three times, if we let him go someone is goin to recruit a very useful playmaker!!

Bet they'll offer him another pay as u play deal, he'd be a useful back up behind Black and Brannigan, as for Warrincy, it'd b worth giving him another year to see how he progresses

Mick definitely wants to stay. Spoke to him at the Starman Dinner and said he loves it at Halifax and the travelling doesnt bother him at all. So good luck to him.

I thought one of the most impressive features of his game on Thursday was his defence. For a bloke who has so many shoulder injuries, he certainly doesnt shy away from the hard stuff.

Are we sure we've signed Brannigan? There's been no official announcement by the club on their site or in the Worrier.

I'd have Govin stay if possible.

Mick has proven his worth to the team. It is a shame about all his injuries, I am sure he would have been a cert for future plans without them.

I think he will still make a good back up player for Branighan next year and would be given chances to appear in some games.

Whether that would be enough to satisfy his needs would be up to Mick himself and if he feels the need for first team playing every week, then I feel he will probably move on.

Just hope he stays to strengthen the squad in depth as he has never let us down when pulling on the Blue & White.

It's OK fans saying play this fella here and so & so there, but sometimes you look around and see which players are unavailable due to injury and then positional selections become rather difficult.

Did anyone notice the injured Halifax players at the dressing room corner of the ground at the end of thursday's game celebrating with the lads who'd played ? Work it out for yourselves....
