As we were leaving last night we noticed a few of the players heading towards the car park and Dave Larder just getting into his own car. Where was the team bus?? Are we saving money? I know it was only at Batley but wouldn't it be better for team spirit and confidence if they had all arived on a bus together?

batley is very near so probable just easier that way, especially when i assume most players coming from work in surrounding areas from different directions

would be a pain to head back to the shay if you lived 5 miles in the opposite direction

The team coach was due to pick up the bulk of the players at the White Bear at Tingley which is a usual rendezvous point.

By 6.00pm though it had only got as far as Chain Bar on the M62 due to traffic so the players were phoned and told to make their own way to the ground.

Just a one-off - blame the motorway.

I don't know why we bother with this forum anymore, the bus was parked behind the dressing rooms with a great big sign in the front window, or didn't it show that on the television for the know-it-all stayaways ?

Just for the record, at approx 18:30 hours when I went towards Brighouse en-route to Mount Pleasant, the M62 Eastbound was horrendous, nose to tail chokker, let's all blame SKY for live broadcasting this game, crap for fans who turn out & pay at the gate, OK for the dossers who sit watching the box all their lives.
