The ruleing has gone against 6 aussies playing for the Crusadors ,they are to be deported on the 7th Sep. One is the Cap Van Diijk and another thier top try scorer no wonder the RFL has been down there sorting them out.
I know they don`t have to leave till end of thier season but they are not allowed back for 10yrs.Wonder how thats going to pan out?

Looks like all that happens is a development area is picked and then flooded with aussie's.

Why not secure the heartland areas (ie Widnes, Fax, Sheff) and push grass roots development more to get more ENGLISH s/l players.

Mark Aston would probably tell you that Sheffield is classed as a 'development' area - until it comes to signing overseas' players - then they are 'heartlands'!

If they shouldnt be here then why should the RFL allow them to play? Also, why should any points stand gained with them in the team? Wouldnt this be classed as similar to a player playing when cup tied or without the right clearance?

I hope they don`t put them back in our league though ,I`d rather have a club that brings fans.

Simple economics determines it's game over.

Two points here:

1. Who at the RFL allowed their registrations without adequate work permit documentation? Anyone in the game will tell you that you have to jump through hoops to register an overseas player. Or were staff there told to overlook irregularities with the paperwork? If so someone at the top should be sacked.....

2. What about the teams who didn't gain promotion from NL2 when the Crusaders came up as champions with what was in effect a team full of "ringers"? Could they take legal action?
