Well done Fev but once again we have a good chance to put daylight between ourslves and the rest and we do not take that chance. IF we want to be serious about winning things we MUST take our chances. 18-0 up after 20 odd minutes and then to lose is poor.

Maybe they were tired but 18-0 up after 20 and then to lose 20-22 is disappointing to say the least. The players when tired need to put in that second effort to win. Its that what makes a Champion so strong. Probably playing on Friday was not wise but hopefully the Boys can look at where they lost it mentally and physically and learn. Each game now is going to be tough. We have no right to win any game it needs to be earned. Just hope Barrow and Widnes lose this weekend

Switching off and trying to shut up shop with 55 to go and only a 3 score lead is never gonna work. Fev were nowt special but they kept at it forcing 2 knock ons in our 20 which they scored off and i dunno what Penky were doing for that pen at the end, obvious and silly.

We're still top, but we need to win those games at home to set us up for games like next week. Dont need to panic just yet. Last week everyone was saying we're hitting form, this week we're not. Every week it changes.

Well played Fev, what a comeback, I went as a neutral and it was a cracking game, I'd be gutted if I was a Fax fan



18-0 up and coasting then a break away and 18-4, but what was number 5 for Fax playing at that turnover cost them dear. I still don't understand why Fax went for 2 points when 18-16, it was still only 4 points, a kick to the corner and 6 attempts to score should have been the play.

To me as a neutral I thought they are shot, only one winner and last minute, what a cracking game of RL though, well worth the 14 quid.

But that was last week. We have been 54-16 better than them, many said how good we were. Am sure they all saw a different Fax performance tonight. One which wasnt good enough to win.
If we beat Widnes next week, suddenly we'll be amazing again and hitting form. It will be a complete cock up not to finish top from here still, but id take us staggering to the final over 7 big wins an losing both semis.

although it worked last week i think the balance on the bench was wrong again.You need 2 props not 3 although perhaps without larder,roberts and royston calland was forced to play the bench he did.Also losing greenwood in the first minute was a massive blow.Bannister went well i thought but obviously smith,bowman and beswwick had to play the entire 80mins.They did look knackered at the end.penky and black both had quiet games but was that down to them just not clicking or fev forcing us to play a tight up the middle game that suited them and blunted our attacking game.

Can't argue with that, totally outplayed for an hour. Would struggle to pick a top 3 fax players. Said was awesome then who else.... no can't think.

Its simple...play for 80 minutes...win the game!. Fev were never gonna just lie down. All credit to them, they deserved the victory and we must learn from the mistakes and the silly decisions. Fev shackled black well tonight and we fell asleep when we scored the 3rd try. Up until that point i felt we dominated their pack then they slowly started taking over............................Please dont anybody blame the ref tonight....he doesnt drop the ball etc.

kicking the two was the wrong option. It had me clenching my fists and I knew then we would win.
We came back strong in the 2nd half and Harris helped to steady the ship. We'd scored off Fax's errors and got within touching distance. The penalty, kicked to the corner would have starved us of the ball and put some pressure on our line - our defence when under pressure looks fragile. At worst the clock would have run down.
When the tee was sent on I was ecstatic!! Fax wanted a breather and took the two not changing the outcome at all. A converted try wins it!!!! and so it prevailed.

To come back from 18-0 at the half is special, particularly after being on the receiving end of so much stick from the fans - "easy easy" etc.

A particularly pleasing evening. The two games v fax this year have been awesome. Loved em!

We've shot ourselves in the foot again. Another loss at HOME - the worse place to do this when trying to attract fans. We thrash Toulouse in front of 200 diehard fans and then cock it up in front of 2,000+ at home. It's one step forward and two steps back in this regard. Fax - get some momentum back for the playoffs !!!!

If we hadn't we would have lost 22-18 instead. The alarm bells started ringing for me at 18-10. Infact I was thinking at that stage we were easy second best but should be ok in getting a bonus point. We didn't look like scoring in a million years and Fev were making far more yards and played as tho' their lives depended on winning. Totally and utterly out-enthused us in that second half and deserved to win.

Obviously disappointed, but in this sport it shows if you're not pumped up for it you'll struggle, aka scouse helens against wakey last week.
