I'm feeling a little uneasy about the fact that the Courier are getting to know about the signings before we are though. I know that's how it should be, but last season and for a good few before that, we all knew before even the players did

Patterson and Roberts are solid Professionals and not really the headline grabbers like Black, Penky etc. However you can rely on them both to always give 100% and their attitude is simply what we want.So we have for next year

Looks good already and is only to get better. The other thing is it looks like we are doing a St.Helens / Leeds and having a settled squad each year with hte odd new player. Think its the way to go. Build steadily but properly.

cant help but wonder about gleeson though, last week we were signing the playmakers up and he was the only one plus govin that hasnt signed a new deal, i cant help but wonder about his future at the club and whether he will sign a new deal or not.

Much as I rate Gleeson and would like him to remain at Fax, if he wants to leave or is asking for more money than the club can afford to pay he can go for me.

This may not be the case of course but we only want players who WANT to play for Fax and, as far as finances are concerned, it is vital that we continue to live within our means as, if we ever got into financial difficulties again, I fear that it would finish the club.

If Gleeson want to get more money then we should not try and get him at any price-we have been there often before and no point risking the club over such players.
With regards to Govin I personally would not sign him as he is very injury prone and cant make a full season despite being very talented. At 6, 7 and 9 we need people who are fully fit most if not all the season. I would like us to give young Bowman a chance when possible-which we have not always done. Maybe somebody like Henry Paul for 1 or 2 years for him to learn off

do you know something we dont. I liked Henry better than Robbie, but I am not sure that he is available. Not sure what he is doing these days, since he went back to rugby yawnion.

No I know nothing but think he would be a good player like Wobbie for Bowman to learn off. We do need an organizer at 6 and somebody who has experience as likely Widnes, Barrow and Toulouse etc will be even tougher to beat next year. I think Henry is wasted in Union to be fair especially at Leeds

Henry used to be a class player but, like many before him, has been degraded by playing Yawnion. Still, at Championship level, who knows?
