I think the Cas aftermath was a bit different though. They looked jaded for the Sheffield game after a physically demanding cup game.

We as the team we are should really be winning games against Gateshead quite easily really. They're only points have come from Doncaster(W), Sheffield(W), Leigh(W), Batley(D) and Whitehaven(BP).

Even looking at the fact they've collected 7 points from their last 5 games, their defence is still poor and i would expect Halifax to exploit that.

Seriously though, getting a good start is the key. If they get early encouragement, it could be a very hard game.

Gateshead have acquired three good players in Franze, Youngquest and Kahler in recent months, and will prove no walkovers. Besides, it's going to be torrential thunderstorms (no pun intended) this weekend and that'll make it hard work.

They've just signed another Cas player on loan as well.

I sense a reverse "hangover" this time, with Fax wanting to make amends for last weekend.
