Fair play. I was expecting us to win tonight, but i wasn't suprised at the loss. You lot stood up well in defence, especially on those repeat sets in the second half, a few teams would have caved in. Thought we mighta nicked it towards the end but fair do's, Fax stood up well and took their chances.

Have to say that you lot do look very sharp and your defence is outstanding. You seemed to tire in the 2nd half and I think our young and inexperienced back stood up well against yours. Could have gone either way towards the end really. We do look predictable and flat in attack at times but we're still in a transition. The season won't be won or lost on tonight's game and I expect many more exciting match ups like this.

Our defence was awesome tonight but we weren't so great on the last tackle. Need a bit more invention.

Very kind of hicks to give widnes so much ball in the second half but we did give a lot away as well with sloppy play and through trying to force things to happen. Not the sort of play that wins finals and play offs that

Widnes looked very ordinary! No real leader out there for them despite all the possession.Poor defence. Webster did little all game and is overrated for me.Doran is a penalty machine. Widnes need Cullen to change the attack and sort the mistakes out if they want to win something this year. Every team will raise there game against them.

Ref had a shocker for me as Widnes knockeed on once right next to him and saw nothing. He missed some digs in the tackles. And the 10 Metres looked a short 10 metres from the South Stand.

We should have had players running on to the ball not receiving it stood still. Blacks shocking pass to nobody on the wing.A couple of injury worries.Said, Frank, Larder were strong, but Worrincy had a great game despite Widnes kicking to him all night. Defence was spot on most of the time, though we looked slow on kicks put through. All in all solid display from Fax but still much to work on in attack

Fax benfitted from a clinical edge when it mattered, and some outstanding defence (two things we wouldn't normally associate with fax). I disagree with the comment about webster - I feel that he was widnes' only threat, and outshone smith and duffy. Widnes lacked something extra in attack, but I suppose they are in transition.

Fax played within themselves with the ball in hand - felt we lacked confidence and didn't give many double or triple barrel passes close to the margins like we normally do - a result of all those interceptions?

Not good to see Miles and Gleese limp out of the game and Rob pick up a knock. Squad does look thin now.
