a couple of seasons ago we played leigh at the shay and we were suppost to get hammered but we beat them like 60 18 or summat like that wish i had been there.

1991 Premiership final - saw every game that season, including a midweek defeat at haven (first of many), and even came home from Filey on our hols to see the premiership game v Leigh, bu missed the final...our last final

The points fest and incredible comeback at Leigh last year....bloody Christening!!!

Also, the play off victory at Hull KR a couple of years ago...holiday.

In 2004, Leigh were walking the league and we won 58-30 on 31st July (we beat 'Haven 60-18 exactly a year later when they were top...)

Then in 2007, we beat Leigh 62-16, when it was all going pete tong for them.....


....Back on topic... Would have loved to have been at Wembley in '87, and I was always gutted I missed us beatin Wire 16-11 (when Briers got his 6 dg's and Cardiss scored as the hooter went) in 2002, for some reason.

Terzis had left in 2003; Darren Abram was the coach in 2004 (we won handsomely in the Arriva Cup - Rowley scoring in front of the South Stand - but obviously dreadful in the league meeting). Ironically, some of the Leigh fans were chanting "there's only one Neil Kelly" at the league game - funny how these things work out.

The 1991 Premiership final wasn't great. Our form deserted us that day partly due to injuries and Jimmy Irvine's suspension. Then we copped more suspensions for the beginning of the following season due to the almighty brawl at the end sparked allegedly by a spitting incident which Brendan Hill and Peter Brown didn't take kindly to.
