Why should anyone who isnt in the Trust be allowed to attend? Unless they join prior to the meeting

Because it is a public meeting and not a trust meeting. Although anybody on the night wishing to join can!! even non Halifax RLFC fans can come along... Shock horror!!

I said I was done with game admittedly but guess what instead of moaning about it I'm doing something about instead. I might even renew my season ticket for the 21st consecutive season yet..... Can't quite make my mind up.

I disagree. I think message boards users are a pretty fair cross section representation of a support base.

I'd love to do a proper poll of Fax fans as they enter the ground on their thoughts on P&R and I'm sure the % of fans agreeing with our sentiments would be a majority

I think it would be intereting to do a poll of all RL clubs/Fans, on P&R and before people voted (i.e those who think they are safe in S/L) do u really advocate being in a division on a franchise rather than "on the filed victories"

I hope the club hurry up and annouce the results of out franchise bid, if not then this campaign could end up looking ridiculous.

On another note does anyone actually know who put together our bid, or which company? Im guessing they got a specialist in so was just wondering who they used?

Michael Steele did the work didnt he? Sure he mentioned in the press lst year that he was creating it.

I think Graham Clay and his business may have also been involved but I could be wrong?? I'm sure something was mentioned when he did one!!

If our bid cannot be compared to others then publishing what is in ours is irelivant is`nt it?
Plus it is not just because we did not get the franchise this time , it`s about the changing of the rules as they go along to ensure the club they want in fits the criteria.

Next time that happens - the club should air it's grievances at the time, and so should others. The RFL get away with it because of the apathy of all RL Chairmen/club officials at the time of the rule change. When they changed the rule about Administration the game "en masse" should have shouted from the rooftops "Hey, Lewis! What the fook's going on??". But they didn't.

A clique is the RFL.

I now have an image in my head of Hilda cramming the poor soul head first into a washing machine.

a jointly-agreed statement with RFL is not exactly going to give answers is it.

You never know a JOINT statement is better than a single statement or no statement at all.

All we can do is wait and see and if there is anything in it that covers assurances of any kind from the RFL well lets
keep a copy so we can remind them if they have a memory lapse in the future.

Interesting comments from various posters, but a few really stood out. Namely the ones that mentioned about whatever form of protest not having the 'Halifax' name to it. Surely it's not just Fax that have suffered / are going to suffer in the future, it's all clubs not invited to the super league party. My suggestion would be to, if possible, meet up with other teams supporters clubs and discuss what and how things should / could be done. The name then could be something along the lines of 'United Supporters' - lame I know, but someone could come up with a belter. More people involved = more exposure. Just a thought.

That is the idea to get all supporters from all clubs involved.

Without doubt if it is only Fax fans making a gesture , it will be looked upon by the majority as sour grapes

If the main point of the protest is the now ' closed shop ' of SL it will then be looked upon as a two , maybe three club whinge

It's just the hand that has now been dealt , the Crusaders have severely weakened the Championship competition by withdrawing

I would suggest the only way you will get support from anybody other than Leigh,Fev and possibly Barrow fans would be for a more general protest , requesting more respect , finance and ideas to help the Championships

In fact I have a sneaking suspicion that because potentially there will only ever be one more chance to enter SL again ( if Quins do a Crusader ) that the chances of collaboration will become less likely as the 3 , possibly 2 clubs chase the last golden ticket and try to avoid being the one club consigned to oblivion forever
