For anyone who has to have this done, main things are.
Risk of infection, so keep it clean.
Risk of blood clots so take your thinning tablet, wear your socks and do your feet exercises.
Follow the physio routine to the letter to make sure you get a full range movement.

Anyway enough of op's up the Fax and keep us up to date on how the games go folks.

We should have used this game to get the first team up to speed, in my opinion. Sheffield have had a couple of slow starts partly due to a lack of pre season friendlies. I hope we're not in the same boat come March. Up The Fax!

I must admit I am a little worried that Marshall seems to be trying to fit players in to the team. Take Johnston, clearly the best scrum half at the club, starts at FB against Widnes, plays for the unders tonight at keighley when for me him and Murrell should be been played together and barring Moore's injury him and Johnston should have been tried at half back with Murrell moving to loose. I guess we have to give him the benefit of the doubt though given how things have gone and it will be interesting to see how he manages a bigger squad this year.

Mate that is very good advice. I snapped my Achilles tendon and had to immobilise my foot in a boot for 8wks.

Found myself growing breathless over the period and out it down to getting fat from lack of activity but ended up on a CT scanner confirming multiple DVT and pulomary embolism in the lungs which is a killer 1 in 3. Lucky to be here I am told, all from rugby training at too near 40!

,from what I saw of the squad Fax turned out ,it was a good result. As it seemed you fielded a fair few young lads.As you say I'm looking forward to seeing you Both later in the year for another cracking game,take care .Ian.

I know it is not about the result and more the game time but it was nice to see a team of mostly young lads beat Keighley who were the other way round having more first teamers in I believe.
A great second try and some promising players in Joe Martin and Brandon Moore who played better than some of the so called first teamers!
Good turnout of Fax fans for a mostly reserve team friendly made up half of the crowd easily.

Just returned from Cougar Park,a good following as usual from Fax fans and a decent result,I don't think you can read to much into friendly games but I for one was happy with the result and I always enjoy a visit to Cougar Park.

Good to see both teams field youngsters. Would have been good to see both teams have a full 17 just to see how far cougars are off. Good luck for the season hope you beat the dulls

Good run out for RM's youngsters and looks like Keighley had a few in their team too. Hooker and fullback looked the part for Fax. Defence was very good. crowd 457.

A fair few of my customers think we are progressing nicely and have said they intend making a trip to the Shay this coming season,the future is bright the future is Fax,if we all spread the Fax Gospel and even brought along a friend it would increase crowds considerably, I think an average of 3000 is very achievable this season,let's put our faith in Rich.
