Maybe best if you put names to your post so we all know which of the shareholders have taken back more than they should have. It should be pretty easy to back up your claims as well as any money paid back would have to be accounted for on the balance sheets.

Or even paid for the whole families health insurance through the club... To the tune of 3k...

Well I’ve no idea what’s going on here, i’m not in the inner circle so only know a few of the names and even fewer of those in any personal way.

Can somebody just talk plain English and discuss the issue instead of continuous snide comments and pointed remarks.

Names Chris, we want names. Which shareholders have taken more from the club than they put in? So we have a group that looks like they lack integrity and their unofficial spokesperson not only lacks integrity but also bottle. By the way I know you are presuming, but I have no vested interest in this and are just a fan that would like the truth to come out one way or another. I do however feel bad for you Chris that you are been fed information in the hope you would stir some things up by a group that includes people who have tried this stuff before which is one of the main reasons that the majority shareholder will not even entertain them.

I think you may be right GFB... However the sentiment and reality surrounding the posts original intentions still exists...

To what degree or if the group can ever move forward is another question. There are other things I need to address first....

People either like you or loathe you on here and I personally aren't bothered which camp I fall in. Irrespective of anybodies views on here I'll always respect their thoughts etc, whether I think they're right or not. I'm as opinionated as the next man....

I still say there is an opportunity here for the club, HOWEVER, I now have to look at the info I've been given alongside other conversations I've had today.

When I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up and apologise. I've possibly been hung out to dry a tad but that's nobodies fault but my own and as I said earlier I still think there are some good people ready to help the club move forward....

If we are all as passionate about the club as this forum would suggest then we're all seeking the same thing...

So apologies to those people (you know who you are) who were/are upset, which I believe justifiably so. Therefore I am very sorry.

We can still hopefully muster something from this but the club is definitely in a better place and on a better footing due to some recent changes and actions put in place.....

In my experience 10 People working together on something like this is a recipe for disaster. Wigan had a similar situation pre Maurice Lindsay coming in. The club was on it's knees. Once a sensible structure was put in place the rest is History.

Looking at the accounts on companies house the club has made around £140,000 profit for the last 2 years (but is still insolvent in accounting terms). If they went full time, which is the only realistic way to get into superleague then wages of say average £30,000 for twenty players would be needed. That's £600,000 per year. That would leave the club loss making to the tune of £460,000 a year. Funding that loss beyond for 5 years would potentially be difficult for these "white knights". Yes with success income may go up but this is no given.

Notwithstanding any of the above, from an outside perspective I find it very strange that a consortium wanting to take over a club post their intentions on a fans forum. That's just totally unprofessional. Especially as there appears to be no detail available.

Whatever has happened, Chris' posts seemed to have turned the board more proactive given the Twitter posts.

The board have given the Twitter feed to the supporters club. Been about a month now.
The consortium is only 4 people from what I have heard. An issue for the board when they expected 10 and the shareholders when they expected 10. Both those meetings happened a week ago
Not a fan of the current board but they do seem to be making very slow progress and better than the 10 man consortium of 4 who have history of asking for their "profits" on their "investment"

Actually that's not quite right and neither the consortium, BOD or shareholders have had any meetings with each other.... That was why this all started in the first place

I still think that within the consortium there are some great people, fans of the club who want to see it progress... Those people should be involved with club in some capacity I feel.

Sadly I was also given a loaded gun blindfolded and I did think I was 100% in possession of the correct facts. I wasn't, hence my apology earlier.

After discussing and being shown a different side with supporting facts, I could do no more than apologise / back track as someone said it before....

Would I do it again... Yes, I would because the club is in my blood. I would however be much more considered about what and how I conducted myself...

Fax appear to be in good hands right now with the positive things that are happening and the changes that are now getting made due to things not being right before...

Fair play to you Chris. I think the way you have been treat by the 'consortium' speaks volumes about the integrity of the people involved. Good guys wouldn't have used you like that!!

My judgement in this instance was regrettably wrong but it happens..

I do hope that it will at least bring people into the fold and its enabled me to talk openly to someone I didn't think I would and its brought about a different opinion... so all is good...

Let's be clear.... I was given info by people I trusted therefore felt comfortable with the situation. That info has since been proven to me beyond any doubt to not be true... Therefore I will hold my hand up to say I was wrong... THEREFORE by default the other info I no longer trust either. The source of the info has to be brought into question, simples. Do I still think there are good people in the consortium.... absolutely.
