Not sure what a 'football trouble shooter' does if it doesn't effect Callands position. Will be a very sound move for Halifax if can get him spending time in and around the team. If not could be an expensive risk?

Well i think he is a good coach and Betts wont be good enough for us in Superleague.Hope we get a decent coach as been boring with no news on players or coaches.

Club are not denying or confirming anything officially (club website) even though Sky have "announced" the appointment. They appear to be distancing themselves at the moment (understandably) but it does seem that things are maybe not quite as cut and dry as we think. So its fingers crossed now for me. I hope it isn't a marketing gimmick / ploy to try and sell more tickets and serving purely to raise our profile.

Or Noble putting the pressure on maybe Salford to come in for him.

I don't get how it would end up on the Sky News ticker as confirmed if it wasn't true. Sky only put stuff there when it's true and at very worse put 'Sky news understands' before to save backlash in case it isn't true (and even then it usually is). Someone of importance in this matter MUST have told Sky. It's not a channel that announces rumours to be fair to them.

The fax site is stillo saying rumour, its not a done deal according to gearge riley who spoke to him this morning, again if this is true.

I hope it is and would like more than a consultancy role, we need hands on treatment right now. Saying that i suppose any help Matt and the boys can get, i hope its not just for bringing in and sourcing players.

go to twitter and type in brian noble, just look at the comments from various places. One of which states that SKYSPORTS news have taken down the comment about Brian noble, Also tHE CALANDER news have commented that halifax have labelled it as purely speculative. Best you go look on there.

As for tweeting, Neither do i as i dont have a clue how or why, i just use it for its information.

Must admit I was surprised that it was talked about as a coaching role rather than consultancy (we had Millward in as 'coaching consultant' when Tony Benson was head coach in 2006) so will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Not saying it definitely won't happen btw. Just don't want it to be built up massively as some saving grace for the club only for it not to happen afterall.

Whatever role he ends up taking and however much good he does, he does still sort of look like a fish doesn't he.
