was talking to one of ower suppoters and they would not let him take photo's of the game, one of there jobs worths said its against rugby league laws, what a clever p - - - k he was, as far as i know as long as there for your there for your own use its ok, he said if he wanted to take pics he would have to apply for a pass, every other ground in rugby league u can take pics, how pathetic, there was other silly stuff aswell, but we wont go there again it was the same clever p - - - k,

no to worry they'll be in C1 next season

I hope not ,unfortunatly that kind of thing is a by product of trying to chase the Super League dream. Having to move into premises where you have to leave your historical home and share with the Wendyballers .Then instead of being able to run your own stadium you have to contend with the garbage of the stadium manager and everything else that goes with it.
A bit like us really.

How did you find there stewards?

Because super Leigh Genesis play there they treat the place as a 'football stadium' and put up aload of daft rules yu don't expect in a 'Friendly' league enviroment!

Head steward / guy who runs stadium operation (someone like that) has a background as a footy steward and is simply a massive willy!

What I find ridiculous is that I took a bottle of coke into the ground with me, my mate bought one in there and they wouldnt let him keep the top on.... But mine did?????

I would have prefered Hilton Park if im totally honest, but hey thats so called progress

I dined in one of the boxes so I got mine for free and it is the best programme I have read by far. In fact just gave it a mention on another thread before I read this post. I would gladly have paid for it ..Well done.

At least the 6 stewards it took to persuade to allow me to put our flags in the East Stand will have felt their wage was justified!

This is the problem with having a stadium run by people who are used to running leisure centres.

I did not go in the "big room " till after the game I dined in one of the boxes .The food was very nice and so was the company ,however I thought you felt somewhat cut off in a box and I don`t think I would want to do that again there . I have sat in a box many times at Rochdale and I always enjoyed it there but it seemed smaller more compact.
When we moved to the big room it did not have much atmosphere to be honest and £3 for a pint of coke was a bit steep.However it was fairly full and it was nice to see all the players in there and mixing but don`t you just miss the passing of the old rugby league grounds .No answer to it really ,I enjoyed my first visit to Leighs new ground and stewards and staff were obliging and polite but I prefered your old ground as I do Thrum Hall to the Shay.

No hassle getting in or out, the odd annoyance due to modern '[ihealth, safety and not giving people the benefit of having intelligence e[/i' but one of the best 'game day experiences' this season.

And a game worth watching thanks to the enthusiasm of the Leigh players.

Indeed, lots of numbers there, but we were all fairly isolated. I'd say at least 500, but the noise we made didn't match. Credit to Leigh, they really backed their team!!

Well done - our second largest home league crowd, after Widnes. But I believe you brought more than they did.
