Nothing changed my opinion of the game , it was a very hard close game ,I hope Slammin Sam recovers as the challenge on him was terrible , and off the ball ,Bracek was mouthing off all night , and Fieldmouses challenge on Liam Kay again off the ball after we scored our Final try was bad . The future for Fax ?3rd spot if you are lucky .

I have a few friends who post on your Forum ,which is why I come along , not to gloat in any way .

I like to think I can look at BOTH sides of a game , but last night the Challenge on Sam was bad no doubt , Sam is no angel but he didn't deserve that sort of treatment .

Peawaap I disagree with your views on Fax though ,they are not Scum , and do have some decent players .

Saw Andy Gregory walking at front of seats at halftime.He was with a chap with a mauve coloured top and black glasses(was that our beloved mr Caroli ?).As for tactics we would have won the gime abeit an inch in touch in last minute.Over the 80 mins though i thought Leigh deserved to win.Sam Barlow is probably the best forward outside super league.He was the only player we had who could bust the line and offload and in my opinion is sorely missed.The fact that little Rowley can get the best out of him while big Karl couldn't speaks volumes of our respectful coaches.Tonka tried an offload last night(looked like his first career attempt-it went 4 yards forward

I haven't had the benefit of seeing a replay as yet, so have purposfully avoided giving my views on the challenge. If there is one available somewhere, I'd be greatful for a link.

I haven't read your post as a gloat, I have read it as a subtle way of informing us that you have nothing good to say about Halifax RLFC this morning. You seem to have the same view as the Peawaap chap, but are managing to maintain your "impartiality", by hiding what you truly want to say as to avoid upsetting Halifax John and Bentley Man. At least Peawwap has the balls to just come out with it..

Maybe we'll finish 3rd, maybe 2nd, maybe 4th, who know's, we have some issues at Fax that certainly need addressing, but address them we will and be stronger for it.

To be honest Paul was very complimentary on Fax and so were our directors.
They all showed respect to the proformance by Fax and clearly if they had cut out the roughing up they would have won.
We looked really jaded but the tactics made us want it even more and had us more fired up to win.
You have some good players and Im sure the tactics were coached into the game plan

Ok, i'll accept where you got your info from, but maybe refering to that rather than the Daily Mail style headline would have been more beneficial.

What I would ask, is why was Sam allowed to stand by the dug out watching the remainder of the game, if your doctors suspected a fractured skull with bleeding?

Sam was down for a long period, clearly in some distress, surely you only allow him to walk off and watch the remainder of the game if you are happy that he's ok. then if needed you send him to hospital to get checked out. If you suspect a fractured skull, would you not call an ambulance and have him rushed to the nearest hospital for the sake of his own welfare?

To be quite frank I`m astonished at some of the remarks on here especially from some normally fairly sensible people who I have in the past had a good deal of respect for . I too have not seen the video so cannot comment on it and if our player has done something wrong he will quite rightly be punished for it . These things happen in games , I am not suggesting it`s right but they do happen . These people that are calling us the scum of the earth and goading us about not wining things etc must think that in all the years they have supported Leigh none of their players have ever committed foul play on another player (if this is what happened) or they have always been high flyers .It seems to me inflammatory remarks straight after the game suggesting there was fractured skull and bleeding would have been better left till the tests were finished . As for Sam well , glad to hear things were clear at the hospital ,never had a problem with him when at Fax neither did most of the Fax fans . Hence why I cannot understand why he`s always on social media sites slagging them off , he reminds me a bit of Paul Davidson , now he was a right" Pantomime Villain" but kept it only on the field , off it completely differant .

I wasn't there but from what I can gather when Leigh played at the Shay (which I was at) bothe Fax fans and coach were upset at Leigh's tactics but seem to have gone to the LSV last night and used those same tactics. From what sounded to be a great game seems to have been marred by the Manning/Barlow incident and if Manning's challenge was as bad as it sounds then I hope he receives the correct punishment, but let's not resort to calling each clubs and respective fans Scumbags and the like. Both teams have got into each other over the two games and are both as bad as each other with the niggly stuff but I've always known Leigh and Fax fans be friendly with each other and don't want to see it go down the old Fev Fax route when those fans used to be at each others neck. I'm glad Sam Barlow is okay and whatever happens with manning happens, let's move on and accept Leigh are the better team (

) and Fax need to improve.

As a side note, I believe Leigh would be in the challenge cup semis if they had played Bradford at the weekend.

Here's my take on it. Barlow passes the ball and carries on running, Manning stands his ground and hits out. Late? Yes. High? Probably, premeditated attack on a player in order to do him damage (as suggested by Dorris Stokes) never.

Leigh players run in and obviously something is said for him to react like that. Oh by the way. Only the thugs from Halifax were punching..... Yeh right.

Ok, I haven't seen the rest of the game, but someone from Leigh suggested that the beating up of Barlow was what caused the whole melee, I would suggest that if Leigh players hadn't run in , it would have ended with being put on report.

I don't condone anything and the disciplinary committee will deal with it, but after reading some of the tripe spouted on here , by some Leigh fans, I did expect to see something worse.

At least it was part of the tackle, unlike Barlow headbutting Potts?
