Even if its a mile or so away???

not paying that robbing gits.

Few streets around about a 10 minute walk away. If not park on the Unicorn car park on Liverpool road about a 20 minute walk away.

How on earth is that going to encourage people to come along?????? Absolutely rickydoodalous.

Thought we might make a day of it.
We've ordered two car parking spaces.
Going to Trafford Centre first, Harvey Nichols do a delightful own brand of Champagne at £140 a bottle, shall get a few of those with a selection of pates including their delectable foie gras.
Off to the match where we will park our limousine in one of the reserved spaces and set out table up in the other. We shall then dine al fresco ala Twickers.
Fun will be had by all.

Only the West Stand will be open for the game, so I'd advice on pre booking as the que for the west stand ticket office could be pretty lenghty on Sunday.

whos idea was the booking fees? they need sacking.

also if your going to struggle to cope with the numbers your going to get on sunday vs a championship team, how is your ticketing structure going to cope vs Wigan or saints?

i cant see how any of this nonsence is going to grow your crowds?

whatever happened to just turning up with sterling and paying via a turnstyle?!

And tickets are reserved seating so if you want to sit together take it into account.

Are Salford on the wind up?

It's not even like it can be classified as 'reserved' seating anyway because no one's actually picked those seats in advance as where they want to sit they're just getting told to, then you've got big queues to the ticket office to get a ticket for a turnstile about 15 yards away probably and among all this 100s of fans are waiting around in the carpark/outside the stand for their mates because they HAVE to get the tickets at the same time so they can sit next to them.

Spoke to the club about this and the reason they gave about only having the one stand open is because the stadium is run by the stadium management company and not us, so because the game has been arranged at such short notice the stadium company haven't had this game planned therefore can't get enough staff to open the full stadium.

We needed the Leigh game to pass phase 2 of the our safety certificate then the Wigan game will be the final straw in that regard. This is a game purely about match fitness for the players and has only been arrangement because Phil thinks we need another hit out.

What a joke.

Let's switch the game to the Shay. Plenty of on-street parking 5 mins away from the ground, and you can turn up with your cash and pay on the gate to get in the ground....

...oh, and we have a nice new stand as well.

I'm busy on Sunday morning, and don't know if I'll be ready in time to get to Salford. This fiasco sorts the decision out for me, given I'm facing searching for somewhere to park, walking a fair distance to the ground, and then having to buy a ticket. I'm not paying £5.50 to pay for parking I may not be able to use (which is a complete rip-off anyway).

Hope we stuff 'em, but sadly looks like I won't be watching.

You can buy tickets online but there is a fee for that
You can buy e-tickets by phone and there is a fee for that
You can't buy a disabled and carer ticket on-line you have to do it by phone and there is a fee for that
If you are disabled you can book a disabled parking space but only if you can give them the number on the persons blue badge
If you want to book a disabled parking space but don't have the number of the blue badge you can still get a parking space but they can't guarantee it will be in a disabled space
Tried three different phone numbers before got to the right person for the parking space

4 phone calls plus ticket money plus booking fee and all to say we been to new stadium!

Not sure why you're surprised that disabled and carer tickets aren't available to purchase online - it's the same situation at virtually every sports club in the UK or otherwise it would be open to abuse?

Sounds a right do this, if the friendly is just a hit out for fitness, why not just arrange it behind closed doors?

Glad I'm not going now, I know there's going to be teething issues with a new stadium, but this sounds complicated and like a lot of people are going to wind up fustrated

I'm starting to think I can't be @rsed with this game but the wife is forcing me to take her to the Trafford Centre and spend more of my money. Don't know what to do for the best.

They had a shuttle bus going from the Trafford Centre to the ground, £1 each way i think mate, so you could leave the car there and get the bus, hope that helps, hope you beat them like we did.

Rugby League clubs are absolutely brilliant at Marketing.
I shall spend my limited January funds elsewhere.

can't think of any other ground in country that requires major logistical planning to attend, god help Wigan fans....

It's because the project is incomplete. Minimal parking (i assume that more tarmac will be laid to increase parking) and surrounding infrastructure currently consist of mud. I also assume that you won't have to pre-book to park and it won't be £5 to park once everything surrounding the ground is complete? If it is, they deserve to fail and die a horrible death and i will urinate on the stadium complex from Barton Bridge.

Got fed up of no response from Salford club, emailed via website and promise of a return call from someone in club shop, but got the info from Salford Reds Forum that the Park & Ride from The Trafford Centre -cost £1 each way - was running for the Leigh game, so they would assume it's the same for Sunday. Should make parking a bit easier - and a great deal cheaper.

I think in the interests of fairness I must mention that some car park tickets have been sent to Wigan to sell in advance along with match tickets for their friendly later this month. Once you get there though I certainly don't see how the away stand will cope with Wigan, Saints or Warrington's support.

It wont Matt, just as ours at the LSV wouldn't, they'll be given some of the East stand as well, Salford certainly wont need any of it

You'd have thought so, although that hasn't been allocated for the friendly as yet. And if you thought some LSV staff didn't know their backside from their elbow...
