Since January, Fax have had 6 charges brought (including the two for Manning) and Leigh have had 8.

As regular readers will know I like Sam, but Charlie to clear up the confusion, which hospital did Sam go to?
Paul Rowley and Dick Jones said he had a fractured skull with internal bleeding,
Must have been a bloody good hospital to return him to the dug out for all of the second half.
And to think everyone Slaggs of the NHS.

John , to answer your question , Sam was taken to Hope Hospital near Salford after Wednesdays game had ended , he only had a Suspected Fractured Skull , but was discharged the next day .Though he did look shakey this afternoon .

| Sam had a choice of two hospitals. He only went to one of them. But, because he loved the attention so much, when the other kept ringing him to ask whether or not he was still coming, he just told them that he hadn't made his mind up yet.

No, what Paul Rowley said is that Sam was being taken to hospital on medical advice for a proper diagnosis.
When a Doctor calls for an ambulance to take you to a head trauma unit (Salford royal) they don't just do it for fun.

These are what I believe are to be the facts. I state them without commenting on who is to blame for what, because I believe it 'takes two to tango' as has been proven over our two games this season.
Sam actually left the dugout to go to the medical room, while the second half was in progress (I think 'Fax had just taken the lead) The medical staff were worried about the deterioration in his condition, and paramedics were called. They were sufficiently concerned at Sam's condition to contact Hope Hospital in Salford to activate a trauma team to deal with Sam.
Thankfully, it looks like he is going to be ok, but probably won't be playing for a few weeks - although he could well be back, before Dane Manning!
Here's hoping that, after two pretty ugly games between our teams, we can get back to concentrating on enjoying the rugby, for future games.

1st Post . Fractured skull and bleeding ,in a bad way .
2nd Post . Paul Rowleys words in the after match presentation ,ask Rhino he was there .

| As Alan has alluded to, it was medical personnell who decided to send Sam Barlow to Hospital because of his condition, their prognosis was ' suspected skull fracture ' I'm sure all Fax fans along with those at Leigh are glad it would seem that prognosis appeares to be wrong
He was kept in overnight for observation
RL is hard enough without any extra ' Physicalities ' ,I am no great fan of Sam Barlow and the way he conducts himself both off and on the pitch but am glad he seems to be not as was originally feared
I'd suggest this thread along with any thoughts of retribution at any further matches is put to bed by anybody who purports to love this sport, be they fans, coaches or players
All the best

You don't need to try to hard to be a prat do you.
As has been mentioned Sam was taken to Salford (Hope hospital) on the recommendation of qualified medics, a head trauma team was placed on alert for his arrival........................Thankfully his injuries weren't as bad as first (SUSPECTED)
What is it with you lot ? One thinks the hospital thing is made up because he don't realise the hospital in question is still known by it's old name. Clutching straws really, but the FACT is that Sam was hit late, and he was admitted to hospital.

Obviously it goes without saying that everyone in the game is glad that Sams fully recovered.

I beg your pardon it isn`t me that is the prat , I was merely quoting two quotes from a respected Leigh supporter who stated that the quote had come from Paul Rowley in the after match conversation . Then you said earlier he did not say those words . I `m not the prat, the prat is the person who came out with that statement before he`d even been diagnosed or you who tried to make out it was never said .

| Yes you are right, I apologise and yes your right of course, maybe in the heat of the moment in the immediate aftermath she should have put a "Suspected" before the rest of her post.
Everything else is and was as has been reported,

| Ive watched a couple of the major talking points on the video today, the first one the `attack` on Ridyards head which when watched over and over isnt even a high tackle and it looks like the injury is the result of Tonks coming in as second man after Fieldhouse has started to bend him backwards. All in all just an unfortunate coming together which shouldnt have even been a penalty.
The main incident is caused by the tackle before which resulted in a penalty for Leigh for Tonks pushing Barlow over. Why did Tonks push Barlow over? As has been said its because in the tackle he sees Barlow pushing his head in to Mannings face while manning is underneath him. The touchie has a great view and should have picked it up and penalty for Halifax he misses and we have the brawl.
Ive watched it over and over and simply cant see how manning can be on the charge he is on. For the late tackle I think he should get 1 game at the most simply because it was so late, I think they should throw the book at him over the fight though, he can not go back in once its separated like he did and I would say 3 or 4 games for that would be fair. Im surprised a few more players are not up on charges though because there was a few from both sides who had a real dig in those fights.

| I had to have a little chuckle to myself as I bumped into a pal of Sams at the match on Sunday and it seems that Sam says after the match between Leigh and Leeds Jamie Peacock (no less ) said Sam would make a Super League player and he could see Sam replacing Jamie at Leeds when he retires next year .
Not sure if Jamie said this to Sam personally though or wether it was said through his agent but I walked away with the tune of the " Magic Roundabout " going through my head . Oh yes it`s starting already .

| Looks like we all might have been a bit harsh on Potts as well when he breaks through the leigh winger does a great job of cutting off the pass so Potts either has to give it early which im sure at the time there was no need or go himself like he did. Maybe fully fit he goes through the fullback.
Would have been nice to see Worrincy in that situation though.
