Maybe bobby has highlighted 3 better dual registered to come on board and Jacob becomes surplus to requirements. Surely as a consultant that is what he will be doing i.e reviewing the current squad??? If he's got 3 players that will bring more to the squad then they're not going to ignore his advice? Or maybe they will be brought in on season long loans?? So can't see why it's An unsubstantiated rumour?????? All seems pretty plausible to me.

Dual Reg as Widns have shown you can have loads as long as you only have a certain amount at a time. Lets hope he makes better choices than we have so far this season, but i have no doubt he will.

I'd guess his role was sorted as otherwise wouldn't have been agreed at all. Probably just dotting i's and crossing t's on contract to do with length, wage & releases really.

if you listened to his comments during the game yesterday, he sounded like he was already making plenty of notes, particularly about how we defend (or don't defend to be more precise) and he wasn't too complimentary about Holroyd, so his advice there could be interesting. And he was right, we weren't really undone by clever "super league" play, more our own defensive failures again, not communicating with each other, rushing out of the line especially on last tackle when we didn't need to. Hopefully this is where he can help us improve the most.

And he might question why we had a half back on the bench, its as if we expected Holroyd to struggle. It was a waste of a substitution and meant we couldn't interchange more with the forwards. After last week, Holroyd should have been dropped, and we should have gone for either Chandler or Clayton (who could also have covered centre) as the other sub.

I AGREE ABOUT HOLROYD, HE WASNT AT THE RACES YEST, BUT TO BE FAIR HE HAS BEEN ONE OF OUR BETTER PLAYERS SO FAR THIS YEAR, HE SEEMS TO WANT TO TAKE THE LINE ON MORE THAN EVER.
