He is probably correct, the only difference being is that they have major sponsorship and a way of getting out of the mire. I can't see much of a positive end for rugby league at the present time, sadly.

Nobby with his head in the sand mate, what the hell has cricket or footy got to do with the RL state of finances, you might as well cmpare it to the rock music scene or the theatres or cinemas because at the end of the day it's all in the entertainment business & if things continue as they are, SL as it is won't exist and people who, like us spend their disposable income on watching games or subscribing to tv will put their spare cash into other avenues within the entertainment business. I myself have already been to watch Leeds Utd more time this season than ever because of the discounted rates, for example I paid for 2 X £20 tickets for me and the lad to watch the Spurs game on sunday. How many SL clubs can offer the same deal ? The forthcoming league fixtures v. Peterboro' & Blackpool are both currently on offer for £15 apiece. That is serious competition for the likes of Halifax RLFC & other Championship clubs in this part of the M62 corridor.
Are any of our regular posters who subscribe to the Championship's tv broadcaster Premier sports tv aware that it's quite possible that NRL games could be lost from that provider yet because there still hasn't been a deal agreed to distribute their games in the UK ? Click on their tab in the RL section on their homepage.
So, we have a provider who's upped their subscription with no definate plan to show the games & their season starts like next week or the week after.

I'm feeling ripped off the whole way round at the moment by a governing body who are a shower of $hite is how I feel, so instead of following my Halifax RLFC to the likes of Worky & Haven this season via the promotion & relegation method if you're outside SL, i'll be using my disposable income to fund either a coupe of gigs or trips to Elland road.

Totally agree(apart from going to see LUFC). I'm struggling to get any enthusiam going because all I can see is a group of idiots at the top of our game systematically destroying it.

I see the super league clubs have carved up Bradfords share from sky much to the annoyance of the Bulls chairman. As though they dont waste enough money, there getting more thrown at them, this game is a disgrace, il watch Rovers and thats it, i hope the lot of them go bust. Last season Huddersfield U18s who get funded to the tune of 100k couldnt raise a team against Rovers who fund it themselves, so the RFL throw another 100k there way to waste, it is the most corrupt sport in the uk

The clubs seem incompetant, the RFL,well I think they are incomptetant as well but also a great number of other things that could be potentially libellous if mentioned.

i keep wondering how long the bradford chairman is going to stick around if he can't get them into profit this season, after admitting, that its a much bigger job sorting the club out than he thought it would be.I bet DR Koukash will be having similar thoughts 6 months down the line as well.
