I don't know why everyone is expecting Fev to let lots of points be put past them.. looking at their opening 2 games against Dewsbury and Oldham they've racked up a lot of points and only let in 6. We on the other hand have done similar (but not scored as many) however against Rochdale I think we should of done better considering Rochdale's problems with not playing. Anyhow, with the injury problems and both defences looking good so far i'm going to say Fev by 18 at least- Purely down to our injury crisis and Fev probably are going to be able to field a near full strength side.
Hopefully Fax pull it out of the bag and impress everyone!

That nasty man Calland who engineered a victory in the Grand Final - against Fev. What a useless winker he was. Thankfully we have Karl now and a much better squad. We'll be lifting trophies for the next three years.

Fev by 18-22 points. Too many injuries in the forwards and team way off the standards to beat a Fev team who have scored 100 points In 5 days. Sure Fax will give 100% but feel sadly it wont be enough. Briggs looks to be in top form as well.

We did get a tonking RFF but then it was the Rhinos



so that should be our share of tonkings for 2012....

If we had a fully fit Aizue and Barlow then maybe but a tall order so early on in Rhnos reign.

i think that we are being underestimated by many on this board!

Yes we are a newly put together side, yes Fev have been the 'team to beat'.

but we are at home, and every single fax player on that pitch knows they are fighting for thier position and will want to lay a serious marker down for the rest of the season.

if we start well, and defend like we did against Dewsbury i can see us pushing them all the way.

Our defence looks a lot more organised this time out from what I've seen, so I'd agree with those that think this will be a relatively low scoring game. We also showed at Dewsbury that we can build pressure and don't feel the need to score with every set of 6.

Both sides with 10-20 points, and a 4-point win for Fax. Attendance 2412.

Yes at Dewsbury we did build pressure but we seemed to chuck it all away last week so not really sure which team will turn up.

Close game Fev by 6 (I hope ) what ever happens on Sunday I think we will both qualify and play one another again before the final and with a bit of luck we can beat you this time

My heart says we can win a tight game by a couple of points, my head says Fev by a couple of scores. I think we and the players will learn a lot about Halifax RLFC 2012 though, and I think well have positives at 445 on Sunday afternoon regardless of the result.
The new guys have a chance to become instant hits here, Ashall, Tyrer, Handforth etc.
Robinson and Hesketh have already proved their worth and hearts.

Expecting a tough game and you will be competitive because I don't think Mr Harrison will let your injury situation be used as an excuse and will have the available players fired up.

Think it's too early and too many big hitting forwards out for fax. And Fev are good!

Sadly a comfortable win for fev but it will be a marker for Karl and the boys moving forwards

As a Fax fan I would love to see us win this one, but it is early season and they are not dishing out the prizes yet!!!

Far more important today for me is the off field result - lets have no bother and get some bridges built between both sets of fans.

Lets get down The Shay this afternoon - enjoy a good craic and a good game whatever the result. Its a shame that a minority of idiots on both sides are spoiling it for the majority, don't let them spoil things.
