Comiserations to Fax.

Played well and nobody could have complained had you won it. Sickener to lose it like that and it's not much consolation but you played a full part in one of the best games in years.

What a top set of fans the 'Fax lot are. Great banter and singing contest for a few hours pre-match in the Manchester and then hugely gracious in defeat. Can't ask for any more than that.

Fair to say you out numbered the ten of us in the Manchester mate. We couldn't really compete but to be fair our whole fan base was in yates with three of your guys. At least we won the competition in there. At least the weather was nice for us! Well played.

One of the criteria that must be fullfilled in order to apply for a Licence to play Super League is I believe, to have WON the Nothern Rail Cup, is that not correct ? not just to have appeared in a final.

Therefore, ctiteria not been fullfilled, ergo, we don't want you with us.

However, knowing the " soft touches " at Red Hall and your bleating, whingeing , supporters, no doubt one will have to suffer another round of full page advertisements, pleading your case to be allowed to play with the big boys out of which my bet is that Red Hall will capitulate and allow you in out of sympathy, and not on merit !!!.

That is for the NEXT round of applications not the one next week.

Good game , brill weekend, nice set of fans, lots of banter and respect, no trouble, the way a rugby game should be. Could have gone either way, and for the neutrals it must have been exciting to watch.

I was at the game today as a neutral and really enjoyed it. I thought Fax had it won at half-time. Never seen you play to such a disciplined game plan before. Then Leigh game out strong in the second half.

Had a good chat with friends from Fax and Leigh.

The problem is Sue that there are some people that take delight in the missfortune of others, the dictionary definition is Schadenfreude.
It's to do with their thinking patterns.
There are only so many nasty things that can be said or written before it becomes obvious that they are just very bitter people.
The truth of the matter is that they become victims of their own their own thoughts as they can only say and get rid of a small amount of their hatered the rest remains in their minds for a very very long time eating and chewing away at themselves.

Keep it up if you like people but you are only hurting yourselves.

Sorry Sid but I have to dissagree.
We came away with plenty.
It is not just about winning on the score board.
One side will have less points than the other in a cup final.
If we can't deal with losing then solitaire is an option.
Losing the game will be moved on from very quickly.
With all the ups and downs that Halifax supperters have gone through over the years you get used to it.
We had a great day out and watched a great game of rugby league in a very good stadium. Thank you Blackpool FC.
The support for both sides was outstanding.
The interaction between the fans prior to the game was very good and after the event both sets of supporters have even more respect for one another.
Rather than wishing and hoping Leigh will get hammered in every game they play for evermore and their supporters will suffer because of this I actually will be wanting them to do well.
They play a brand of rugby that is tough in defense, exciting in attack and are not beaten untill the final whistle what more can we want from a game.
Once again well played Fax you gave it your best and could have easily have won and well payed Leigh you gave it your best and did win.
