The team's travel is paid for by the RFL so 'Fax will have no worries in that regard.


The NL3 (as was) has disbanded AFAIK and I'm not sure it would have been right for any of those to be artificially parachuted in to this stage of the competition. At least Toulouse had to qualify like everyone else, got to give them credit for that.

Yer we talked about that when we were there for the League game it must cost the RFL a fortune to fly clubs to Toulouse and Toulouse over here every other week, say 26 people minimum and a one night hotel stay minimum that must be around £10k per match x 20 league and at least 6 NRC plus 2 CC thats nearly £300K per season (I have heard £400K is the true figure) - ouch!

Plus 2 or maybe all 3 match officials and Match commissioner

One of Batley or Dewsbury are going through and draw the winners of Fev/Hunslet at home and win

NRC final at Blackpool with 2,500 in attendance

Don Valley takes 25,000, so its no better as a choice for a venue for them. But there's no where that really stands out as an obvious choice as a suitable venue for them, Bramhall Lane is far better for spectators than Don Valley anyway.

Agreed Brew there isn't somewhere small and ideal for us to play but Bramall Lane is a better choice and would be a great choice for a International fixture!

Yes 1076 isn't a large crowd but its 100 up on the same game last year (if your being really petty 97), we wasn't playing at our usual sunday afternoon time, no away support, it was a bloody cold day & being in a football loving city we was also up against England vs Wales & Sheffield Wednesday playing away!
