This weeks press says there has been some interest from SL clubs in him and Fev are to sit down and have a chat with him this week, no mention of Fax.

Ben didn't really get a chance last year at Fev and was loaned out to Barrow where he apparently played well for them at fullback He had also done well in the world cup this year. IMO there will be a few to leave Fev before the start of the season but don't know whether Ben will be one of them or not Our new coach seems to want his own players in and there's a few senior players at the club that don't fit in his plans Next year looks like big changes at Fev with the players coming in but I hope Ben stays and gets his chance

This sounds awfully familiar. I've heard from a number of reliable sources that Matt James signed a contract with Batley about a month ago - having been granted permission to talk to other clubs with a view to getting him off the Fev wage bill, but that the deal crumbled when someone at Fev decided he wanted to renege on the deal and refused to transfer his registration. Strange goings-on at POR. They still need to release quite a large number of players, and rumour has it that their new scrum-half is on the verge of a walk-out having been told he won't be first choice in 2014.

Not that he hasn't got a record of doing that before has he. Thinks he is the big I am. O dear I might have to fight for my place in the team good bye.
