Quote ="gingdong"There are 2 camps developing at Rovers 1 that think the 1 trophy out of 6 we have won with the massive investment (forget league leaders it means nothing) is not good enough. Then there are the camp that think Darryl is a god and has transformed the club. I myself think its the chairmans money and drive that have transformed us the last few years. We have the biggest playing / coaching budget and money to spend if players are available. my personal opinion is if we don't win the lot with those resources then its not good enough. Im not been arrogant just realistic'"
At the end of the day though Ging you can only spend up to the cap and sign so many players.
There are a lot of good players out there at the moment and not all of them can be at Fev or any other one club.
Which in a way is a good thing.
There are other clubs that have passionate BOD's who have ambition to progress their respective clubs to be as good as they can be where they are and perhaps one day into Super League.
Being realistic this would mean that a club who has a good BOD with the infrastructure in place and the momey to spend and is the furthest ahead could become the most consistent club in the division just like Fev have been.
However there is always the possibiltity that the other better sides who have are putting similar things in place can beat them on any given day.
In fact this is exactly what has happened with Rovers in the Championship and some of the other sides are now closing the gap "as clubs".
I would expect Fev to be at or near the top of the pile for the forseeable future but not to be as dominant as before.
The real danger is not being able to progress beyond a certain point for too long as this can lead to stagnation , frustration and eventual decline.
