Aye, that's the official statement they've made. Apparently, because he'd already mentioned an interest in the Keighley job, JD had it written into his contract he could leave if it was offered to him. Plus, surely it's like a normal transfer even without that. Keighley would have had to give York money to 'buy' JD off them, then he gets announced as Keighley boss.
What's happened here seems to be that he's been released fairly, Keighley have him, now York are going to discuss how much money Keighley will give them...
