| Quote ="Lord God Jose Mourinho"Printing timetables is clearer and easier using the 24 hour clock. In the mass of thousands of numbers it's far more obvious that 0400 is very different to 1600 than seeing the 04.00am and 04.00pm.
But most people operate with the 12 hour clock. Very few people are going to tell you they'll pick you up at 1915.
The reason that all the train stations will have the 24 hour clock is that some of the old and slow brained still won't be able to quickly work out that 1915 is 7.15pm. The 24 hour clock is there to help them.'"
You asked how many 24 hr clocks one had seen.
The answer remains loads.
Personally, many hundreds.
The reason for their use in no way invalidates the vast numbers in use on bedside tables, in railway stations and other travel terminals around the world.
Miltary personnel habitually refer to so-many "hundred" hours.
In global communication, the 24 hour clock is essential.
Live in the parochial past if you want but thrusting young chaps, such as I, embrace the newer world.

| Well as you may or may not know, my living has depended upon timekeeping for these past 30-odd years and its really simple, you couldn't have lots of computer functions without using a 24 hour clock.
And decimal hours.
Anyone ever seen a decimal clock

There'll be a few ringpieces on show as well if you pull into that lay-by in Coniston.

| Don't most people put a digital clock/watch in 24hr mode? Thought it was the norm, now.
I had one of those cube clocks with the twisty corners, once. Bit weird at first but ok once used to it. Strangest clock I've ever seen was one of those binary ones. Don't think I'd ever suss it out enough to tell the time in one look without having to really study it.

| Just realised ... most people have home entertainment stuff with a digital time display.
Also, a lot of people nowadays don't wear a watch, preferring the 24 hour time display on their mobile phone.
