It was just you. Yes Cameron and Boris's words were used. but it was words praising the people of this country. Cameron is the Prime minister and Boris is the Mayor of London. If it was a labour Prime Minister and Mayor of london, you wouldn't be saying a dickie bird about it.

They were some of the sounds of 2012, a couple will be remembered for quite a while, does it really matter who said them?

Outstanding fireworks display, complemented by belting music (could sometimes do without The Who though), and quotes from a number of people who made big speeches at the time (regardless of their political persuasion).

I thought the London display was fantastic. Ever since that embarrassing debacle that was the millennium 'display' the London New Year effort has just got better and better. Adding music was genius. This time around though topped the lot for me. The quotes were spot on and blended beautifully into a cracking soundtrack and the fireworks themselves were outstanding, timed and varied to perfection IMO.

There are those that think and those that follow.
