| Do you think Britain is right to argue for a cut or at least no increase in the EU Budget?

| Yes. Cameron is doing what is right for the country.
Also the sooner we have a referendum on EU membership the better.

| How can you possibly agree on a budget, with a straight face, for a multi-billion pound organisation whose auditors had refused to sign of its shambolic accounts for about a decade now, because there are so many million-pound holes? The biggest mystery in Europe is why no criminal investigation has been launched, and why thousands of people are not in jail. Budget? They wouldn't know a budget if it bit them in the bollox.

It's well over a decade, almost tempting to refuse to post my business accounts ans state the "when the EU does I will follow suit", at least we've got someone standing up for us now, not like the to55pot Blair or weak Brown, it's time we stood up to the idiot liberals at home and abroad.

| This is what I cannot understand. By contributing even a penny our government condones fraud and effectively is a party to it.
Our government should say that until an unqualified audit opinion is issued then they will not contribute at all. Until someone makes a real stand this abject corruption will continue.
What I cannot understand is how it is fair and reasonable for net recipients to have any vote on the budget? The whole system is undemocratic and sickening.

So only net contributors should determine the EU's direction?
Sounds not unlike the way this country was run prior to The Reform Acts.
As far as Cameron's dog & pony show is concerned, he'll achieve nothing more than further marginalising the UK and when the meetings reconvene, he'll go, throw another strop and come back home again with his tail between his legs. Having achieved nothing more than further reinforcing the view that the UK is the fat, four-eyed ginger cousin of Europe

| The budget should reflect the economic circumstances we are facing, hence the budget should remain static except for growth-stimulating infrastructure projects.
I am unfashionably both pro-EU and federalist.
Putting it briefly, problems with the EU should be corrected, pulling out is not the solution.

I remember reading on here how we'd be immediately "totally isolated" in Europe the last time Cameron used the veto. Judging by the number of countries that took the same position as the UK this time around it seems that the total isolation hasn't quite kicked in yet.

On the scale of microbe to blue whale, there are similarities! But we don't tbf yet know what will happen about the Bradford debacle, though I wouldn't hold my breath for anyone being held to account, that's true.
