Slightly o/t here but, why is the Government surprised that Corporartion Tax receipts are down.
The ecconomy is in recession, austerity cuts are still occuring and there is still some way to go and companies are less profitable than 12 months ago, SURPRISE
And these people are "leading" the country.
We cant climb out of the current trough until the spending cuts have finished - Taking X billion pounds out of the ecconomy has to cause shrinkage and only when these cuts stop will the ecconomy have chance to recover.
How far and how quickly the cuts should be is a different question but, why companies, in general, are making less money is flipping obvious !
