| Quote ="Nothus"It's only support rewards that don't reset. And the simple way to counter the constant UAV is to just use the assassin perk. Which you should always be using anyway.
Get a silencer equipped, with Assassin Pro and Dead Silence, and you can happily run around the map completely undetectable on the radar. Happy days.

Yeah I would use Assassin but I'm not at that level to unlock it.

| I won a copy of MW3 at work, took me 5 hours to complete the campaign on normal. Fairly average I thought.
The multiplayer is just MW2 part 2. The maps are ok, but it's just so uninspired. Such a shame as COD:4 was bliss, no game since then has come close.
Shame on you Activision and the staff who didn't leave Infinity Ward, I'd happy play MW1 if it hadn't been hacked to death too, this is what the games industry is getting like nowadays. All the AAA devs and producers like Activision/IW are just too scared to change a winning formula, no innovation because it costs so much money to develop games.
Thats why seeing a game like Minecraft become successful is a breath of fresh air, hopefully we will continue to see more of these indie devs, if only to cancel out the corporate greed from producers who constantly pimp out their IP's at our expense in getting shoddy games like MW3.

| I love the hate COD gets. Usually from people who can't play the game properly or are just useless at first person shooters in general. My only criticism so far is that the maps are a little samey. I only play online so the game is great for me. Very balanced.

Thing is, I don't hate on the things that make you good or bad, it's the things that make people overly good that I don't like. As I said, COD4, the game that had so much 'less', I was fairly good at it, same with World at War, but when the next couple of instalments were filled with so much BS, I never even gave MW3 a chance. Furthermore, if somebody dislikes things the quality of online connection, host choice and matchmaking system, does that make them a bad player, even if they were actually decent at the other instalments? Doubt it.

Not a platformer, no. It's basically a game based around building your own world within a randomly generated landscape. When you start off, you will literally have nothing in your inventory. You use natural resources around you (wood from trees, dirt, rocks etc.) to build yourself tools, shelter, weapons and anything else you can conjure up just by playing around with it.
Things progress gradually until you can actually start mining the world around you, finding ores, minerals and just generally better materials to make things with, and it just escalates from there really.
The added kick is that whenever the sun goes down, your world will become populated with things that will try to kill you (spiders, skeletons, creepers) so you need to make sure you're sheltered somewhere safe every night, or armed to the teeth if you want to stay outside. The same thing happens as you mine deeper into the earth, you will discover natural caves full of monsters and even lava.
The game is really, really addictive. Once you get going building a village or whatever it becomes very hard to quit. I spent a good hour just catching fish from a lake once. With a rod I built myself, or course

At the moment it is, I think it's coming exclusively to the 360 as well. Apparently it has over 16 million users, and the game is still in Beta (I think). I doubt you'll be impressed with the graphics Saddened...
I can play CoD just fine, I just feel like I've played it all before, no innovation whatsoever, same graphics, engine, guns, perks.

there is a new feature - guns that fire round corners and invisble armour shields people can have around them

Definitely - it's amazing!
I've played something in the region of 15-20 hours and I've barely visited even half the map I don't think - just been sticking to central parts and the north, not touched anywhere else.
I'm level 12 now - finding it fairly easy to kill most enemies despite the odd one or two, although still dying on occasions (I do save fairly often as well) so thinking of upping the difficulty by one level - I usually play most games on the hardest possible difficulty but didn't realise you could change this one until yesterday.
I've joined the Companions now and got my first quest from them. Mainly stuck to wandering around and talking to the various people to try and get new quests, or completing the miscellaneous objectives. I've only completed about nine quests so far and got somewhere in the region of 15+ in the list of active ones so plenty to do. Apparently there's 190 quests overall, so a bit of a long way to go, but not rushing things. Fallout and New Vegas lasted me well over 100 hours each including the DLC (and I'm still only half way through the second one and haven't downloaded the third or fourth) - this one's looking like it could be more

Only level 8, but ive joined the companions and the thieves guild so got plenty of tasks to do for both of them, plus plenty of misc missions picked up from various people.
The time just dissapears when you are playing it.

| Played Skyrim at a mates last night and don't see what the fuss is about. Fair enough the game is huuuge (takes about 40 minutes in real time to go from one side of the map to the other) and the size of it is mind blowing. But, to be honest I just can't be d with it. I don't really like the whole dungeons and dragons thing and there's nothing about it that makes me want to spend 300 hours finishing it.

| You can see where the MW series is starting to get tired now. There's a few interesting scenes - I quite enjoyed the London Underground section - but there's no innovation or real "wow" moments in MW3 which is a shame.

| Just a Fifa thing again; has anybody had any problems changing to specific players on goal kicks or anything? I play with my FUT team and my first choice front three is Varela-Falcao-Hulk, when the opposition have a goal kick, I can change to any of them and move around; however, when I use my second choice striker - Welliton - it won't let me change to him on set pieces. I know it's something minor (and I'm not the type of sad no life scrub to intercept goal kicks), but it frustrates the life out of me, as I always like to get my striker a bit further back so I can clear it straight to him.

I think you have to 'shop around' to find the best offers, I've spoken to people who have had good deals at Asda and good deals at Tesco. I mentioned the other week about the price Tesco offered for Deus-Ex, sometimes, Tesco offer more on trade-in than they're selling them for brand new. You'll always get good prices for new games, but in terms of old games, it's a matter of preference and what you're looking for. The best thing about Asda/Tesco is you can spend their coupon anywhere in-store and they offer the best prices for games on release.
