I've got neither, but I'd say if you can afford COD - get that too. I'm sure they're both great games in their own ways. I've never played a BF before but I'm tempted. Maybe after christmas

You should realise that online based FPS games are all terrible and invest in Batman instead.

BF3 yesterday - Superb game, hard to get used to, but worth putting the time in.
COD - Preordered - Mainly as all my mates play it.
Skyrim - Will pick up from Asda with a £30 gift card work gave us (And fund the rest myself)

Loads of bad feedback for Uncharted 3 on the internet. Seems they've ruined the shooting and enemy AI, to the point where it is now easier to creep through the game and not use your gun than it is to actually attempt to shoot anything.

Tell me it isn't so...

Well you've always had the choice in certain situations in Uncharted to either take enemies out with sneaking tactics or simply start a shoot em up. However I have noticed a difference with the shooting. Its as if you can shoot someone around 5 times anywhere in the body and only then will they realise that bullets are actually hitting them. Maybe I need to change my contacts and I'm just missing but thats the impression I get!

Shooting was far better in Uncharted 1. Another game hurt by the hunt for 'realism'. Far preferred it when they reacted to getting shot by flying through the air with 5 dramatic somersaults. Now they just crumple to the floor.

A very, very good game but guilty of something most games are guilty of at the moment. Whether sequels or new franchises, games lack new and fresh ideas right now. They all just feel like previous releases tweaked slightly.

The aiming has acceleration on it, which is a personal annoyance for me and many others, but it's something you get used to eventually. To say it is 'ruined' is an overreaction. The enemy AI is fine in my opinion. If you stay behind a certain piece of cover for too long they will actually begin to close in on you which I thought was pretty good.
As for sneaking through the whole game? Not a chance.

Getting really wound up with BF3. Currently on a sneeking mission were I'm told to 'use my blade'. I have to sneek up behind someone and knife him, sounds east yes. But for some bizarre reason I get so close and then just die! No gun fire no knife attack nothing I just die. Tried it a dozen times and same thing every time. Surely it's a glitch.

Nevermind I decided to run at him instead of sneeking, and it worked!

Im still playing Black Ops to death but have never actually played the campaign mode - i just play online and have prestiged about three times now.

Im sure the new game will be excellant but i just don't feel the need to rush out and get it yet - will probably get Batman first just for something different.

I've got it but hardly played it. The campaign missions seem ridiculously short. As for online, some killstreaks continue after death.

Microsoft insisting nothing's wrong, though. Funny, that. Maybe having $100 charged to your XBox Live account is just an "undocumented feature".

How has it been 'hacked worse than PSN' exactly? I really doubt this is Xbox Live itself being hacked, it's just individual accounts having their login details stolen/purchased/phished.

The majority of Xbox Live hacks happen when companies like EA let you sign into their forums etc with your Xbox Live/PSN account details. Those details are then stolen/sold, giving the hacker access to your details. That is all that will have happened here. Another way they are doing it is via mobile phone apps that let you view your Xbox Live account, send messages etc and also through the email signature apps people use on forums.

Security on Xbox Live isn't an issue if you are cautious. Use pre-paid cards for membership to Live and for points, that way you are never exposed by having your credit card details stored in their system.

No PSN user lost money, they changed their passwords and got free decent games (4 free games in my case). In that immediate instance it's worse.

Which leaves WiiConnect24 as the champion of free, safe, secure online gaming.

Does it balls. This is people being silly with where they put their login details. They'll all get everything back anyway, no one will lose money. It's not Microsoft's fault as the loss of the login details won't be theirs. If it were, of course it would be a PR disaster like PSN being down for 2 months because they were hacked was for Sony.

There is absolutely nothing stopping these hacks happening on PSN either. Or your internet banking. You accidentally download a keylogger and they can get into anything of yours online.

WiiConnect24. Bejesus. It might be secure, but it's also utterly rubbish and no one uses it.

Not seen anyone else mention it but Skyrim is amazing. A lot of improvements on Oblivion and the developers have obviously listened to some feedback. One thing i'm loving is every dungeon/cave/mine area has a back exit. Something i hated was spending 5minutes working my way back out of places. Also there’s about a 10minute intro at the start then you’re released to roam the world.

The only negative which i hope will be fixed on a patch are the loading and saving delays. I've turned off Auto save due to it locking the game down for nearly a minute and making it look like it’s crashed. Oh and they've removed the lock picking trick that was on the Fallouts and Oblivion
