Both excellent, gears campaign is complete, and im about 40% through the main story of Batman

Uncharted 3, Batman and Battlefield are all on my radar, literally don't have time to play games at the moment though! So will probably pick them up on the cheap.

Really tempted to buy Batman though, sounds like a fantastic game.

I'm actually really excited about the GTA reveal too, Rockstar have literally got me round their little finger with this reveal!

I dont play the xbox much these days so there will be only one game I'll be buying this year. Don't know if its been mentioned over the past few pages but Skyrim's looking pretty amazing atm so I'll definitely be buying it when it comes outt.

I don't post mush on this thread (mainly due to being ignored through my lack of interest in Fifa 12) but Batman: Arkham City is what most games of this genre should aspire to. Stunning visuals and gameplay, top rate voice acting and the side missions keep you hooked, liking the combat system as well.

Having purchased Battlefield 3 I must say I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. I didn't think the Beta was anything special but I'm really enjoying the fina; version there are still a few bugs which need ironing out but overall it's a great game. The controls feel far more responsive than they did on Bad Company 2 and the addition of Team Deathmatch is welcome. I haven't however had the opportunity to pilot a jet, although I have not yet played on all the Rush maps just yet.

I think this is going on my Christmas list.

On another note, my copy of UC3 was dispatched today *does a happy dance*

To get a 10/10 from Edge Magazine is something in itself.

What a brilliant game! It will compete with Uncharted 3 and Skyrim for GOTY.

My mate asked me why I think Batman is so good, the only way I could describe it was... I actually feel like I'm Batman! Seriously though I'm pretty impressed with this title and I think is a must buy!

Going to buy Battlefield 3 soon too, I just can't resist!

Finally signed up to XBOX Live today. Played 2 games of PES2012. Was beaten 5-1 and 2-1

Games TM gave it 9 and said that it is the first game to truely make use of the motion controls, right at the end of the wii's life

Ok, so Fifa is definitely scripted again.

With both gaming time & money in short supply since the arrival of a baby earlier this year, I decided that I couldn't justify buying more than 2 of the rash of big releases in the run up to Christmas. I chose BF3 & Arkham City and I couldn't be happier with my choices.

Is it me though or is BF3 much harder than it's predecessors? I'm getting slaughtered in every game so far whereas I was a regular MVP in Bad Company. Still a great gaming experience despite my regular deaths!

As for Batman, I can only echo the rave reviews other posters have awarded it. The original was one of my favourite games of the past 10 years, the serquel absolutely outshines it. A breathtakingly wonderful game!

I'm doing better n Battlefield 3 than I did on Bad Company 2 which is is probably a result of being a complete Battlefield noob when I played BC2. I'm still not very good but I actually contribute to the team now in objective gamtypes and on TDM I tend to get more kills than deaths most games.

My only gripes with the game so far is the difficulty that I've had getting onto a server and also getting disconnected, the horrendous spawns in TDM and a few little bugs here and and there that I've noticed but other than that Battlefield 3 is a really good game. Dice are already working on a patch to fix the server issues which is good news.

Just left bt for virgin broadband, any other virgin media xbox owners having issues with constant disconnecting from live? I've tried changing the channel on the hub but still not good

And then some. Was just in a game, I went 3-0 down, everything was going against me, every tackle I made he came out best, every tackle he made my player went down and he was well away, it was shocking. Half time comes, I get it to 3-3 by the 70th minute, everything is going my way, then suddenly, for the last 5 minutes, he just gets everything. Every deflection went to his players, every pass I made was intercepted or sent automagically to the wrong player. He managed to win from a goal on a corner, despite me mashing head and my keeper coming out, Antonio Cassano managed to rise above Pepe and nodded home. Madness.
