Classic Fifa online just then. Player against me plays a lobbed through ball, my defender goes to clear it but it hits my other defender who is AI controlled, who seems to think it is genuinely smart to run straight at the ball, even though it's clear that I'm going to get it. Anyway, it deflects off him and goes back to my goalkeeper, I'm mashing the clear button, I must have pressed it about thirty times in the two seconds it took to get there, does he clear it? Nah, he takes a touch and completely ignores the buttons I pressed, his striker chasing me down nicks it and scores so it goes to extra time. Decided to go straight to pens as it was a laggy connection, not realizing that lag affects the meter used to make your pens accurate. Missed my first two because it was lagging about half a second behind, which meant timing went out of the window.

The game has some great points, but the AI is completely stupid, your teammate AI is nothing but a hindrance, they do nothing, is there any way to change the way the AI behaves on the game? The AI teammates on mine do nothing but run in straight lines, they never react to the play, they never chase deflections, they never react to rebounds, they never intercept the most basic of passes. I mean, before I had a shot with Varela, it got deflected towards Falcao for a tap in, it didn't automatically change and he jumped over the ball instead of controlling it, he actually jumped out of the way despite being a good three yards onside. The game has so many little petty things to do with the AI that absolutely infuriate the life out of the, it's just stupid.

I play what I feel like at the time. I still maintain that the Wii is the most enjoyable console for gaming overall.

Yeah yeah. Don't try and fool me, I know that Wii is in the cupboard under the stairs like it is in most households in the UK.

Has anyone played NBA 2K12? I've read a couple of reviews for it today whilst bored in the shop and it got 10s. One calling it the best sports game ever and the other nominating it for the title of best game ever.

No, but I think you can play as a team of honey badgers in it, so that instantly makes the game full of win.

Just been into town and not managed to get hold of Rugby Challenge, Cex prices it at £35 but they don't even have it available online yet. So I've just sold a load of dvds for store credit for nothing

I have also started Uncharted 2, it's very, very good. I'm not great at it but really enjoying the cover system and the climbing mechanics.

So where will the new GTA be set? Looks like it could be Los Santos (San Andreas) again. I'd rather see it be Vice city.

I looked for it in Warrington town centre, only had it in Gamestation, and they had it at £55!

Don't really care where it's set, I just hope they open the game up a bit more. GTA IV's missions were too samey for me, although admittedly, I never played the add-ons.

Recently been playing San Andreas and it's still a bloody good game. They need to take all the good things they did with Vice City and San Andreas and put them into this game because they left them out of IV for me.

If I had one major wish for this game, it would be for a proper branching storyline where you can make choices that affect the story as you progress. Perhaps even choose which gangs you want to work for like in GTA II.

I was planning on trading in some games for the credit to buy it, but I might end up buying it online if there is nowhere cheaper.

Apparently it's being set in LA (or the rockstar equivalent) and will feature multiple playable characters, rather than just one main guy throughout the whole game.

Absolutely amazing graphics and definitely something different from all the underground/underwater stuff in the first two. I still need to play the second one which I've had for ages.

Didn't even realise they were bringing out all the Metal Gear Solid games on the 360 as well. I had the first one on the Gamecube, so might pick those up when it comes out.

I've been 'looking' at Fifa a lot lately. Am I the only one who thinks the player faces have actually become worse? It seems loads of players just have random generic faces. The Man City side is near perfect for obvious reasons, but on my FUT side, I can't tell who anyone is other than Pepe and Sergio Ramos.

I think it's due a graphical overhaul in general. The stadiums are poor, the lighting is poor and the player models are poor. Pro Evo wipes the floor with it graphically. Oh how the times have changed.

EA still cannot do crowds neither

I don't think anyone can to be fair. They rave about them in the basketball games, but they are still down to about 10 or so character models who are all over exagerrated in terms of movement, and all are just the same animations started at different times. So you'll have people jumping up flailing their arms about when nothing is happening.
